Hey guys, as the title would imply, I'm in need of some advice concerning what wargear/Daemonic Gifts to give my 4 Aspiring Champions. Right now, they just have Powerfists, Bolt Pistols, and ToBBs. I kind of want to try out Axes of Khorne, but The Powerfists are one of my best Ant-tank sources. I was thinking a layout something like this:
Aspiring Champion of Khorne - 59 Points
Talisman of Burning Blood, Bolt Pistol, Axe of Khorne, Daemonic Mutation - 59 Points
I think I'm goignt ot try this out in an actual game, and see how it does. I was considering swapping the Mutaiton for Strenght, but went for Mutation as getting 6 attacks and getting to get extras on 6s is just awesome.
Thanks in advance.

Free Aspiring Champion 95 Pts
Free Aspiring Champion; Mark of Khorne; Power Fist ; Axe of Khorne; Feel No Pain; Talisman of Burning Blood mounted on Juggernaut of Khorne
Yep - pretty expensive for sure but I love to march three squads down table with the juggies. I use the fist and the axe so I can go for troops or vehicles or walkers
my whole unit has furious charge
7 Khorne Berzerkers Chaos Space Marines 263 Pts
Favoured Unit; Mark of Khorne; Chainaxe (x7); Bolt Pistol (x7); Frag
Grenades; Furious Charge
That's the cost with the champion. A little exoensive but takes down anything in H2H. The best part is that I can use these guys as a unit of chosen in larger games if I choose to. I
have seven juggies in all.
Huh. Pretty sweet setup there. I might mount mine on Juggies, but just wondering, how many points exactly does the Juggernaught cost? sorry, I don't have my Codex on me, and want to modify my list. Thanks.
Yea, I thought you might do that. 'sokay though, I'll just get my Codex back Tomorrow.
pointless to bring an axe of khorne and a powerfist, youd have to select which one you were going to attack with, you couldnt stack the bonuses.
imo strength is pointless on champs with fists, give the squad furious charge and hes at 9 str on the charge anyway, your already hitting everything on a 2 or better. if you cant penetrate even a 14 armor with 5 or 6 attacks at 9 str then you just roll ****ty.
i give my powerfist champs mutation, spiky bits, and master craft there fist as far as combat options go. 6 attacks on the charge in which you can reroll 2 misses. then you have a 9 str and hit on 2's. pretty much that should be 5 or 6 dead guys every combat round.
i never used to use mastercraft or spiky bits, but give it a shot. making sure those powerfist hits actually land is the key to success. it will also greatly increase your chance of penetrating armor.

if pro is the opposite of con, does that mean progress is the opposite of congress?
In my black legion I have a unit of zerkers and here is how I always tool him out.
*the unit always gets furious charge*
Axe of Khorne
Thise gives him base 4 attacks, 5 on charge with rolls on misses. They are strength 5 power weapon attacks, strength 6 if he charges, so easily killing any type of troops, and most elites and HQ. If you are lucky and roll 6's to hit with the Axe you get another attack, and can keep going. I don't have this happen to often, but have gotten up to 8 attacks on the charge from this one guy, and on that roll 5 wounded. It was a good day for the blood god.
For your powerfists, i would do mutation, spikey bits, and resiliance or what ever the one that gives you +1 toughness. This way he has better chance of living since he goes last.
The most useful zerker configs I have seen are:
AC: MoK, Frags, furious charge- as the basic
against lots of infantry(eldar especially hate this) Axe of khorne, spikey bits, mutation- 6 attacks on the charge re-rolling 6s and sustained assault... youch.
Against armored foes and tactical flexability give him a powerfist +CCW, spikey bits.
W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
OK here is how I tool mine lately: (mind you he's leads mutants so things are a little different.)
AC: MoK, bolt pistol, Power fist, Collar of Khorne
For a bezerker squad I wouldn't do things much differently: add talisman of burning blood, and furious charge (if the squad has it obviously.)
So basicly I like to keep things simple, except for a little extra protection from psychic nastyness.
Votewar MKV 2nd place. . .
Back from internet limbo, and glad to be here.
