I am going to be playing in a campain soon with my Undivided army, and one of the opposing players is bringing armoured company. I have played many games against guard, including one player who is very heavy on tanks (2 demolishers, 3 chimeras, a hellhound and some sentanels in 1700), however I have not had the pleasure/pain of playing against armoured company.
We don't pre set lists so it is possible to tool my army towards anti armour, but I don't want to be a tool about is, such as taking three havok squads in HS, and three more marked with Slaneesh in Elites. Anyways I was planing on using troops I usualy field but with slight modification such that everything can tankbust.
Very roughly in 2000 points...
lt with Kai gun+infiltrate or flight
6 nurgle termies with tank hunter 2 reapers and 2 chainfists
2 8 man squads with powerfist + 2 meltas and infiltrate
2 5 man 2 plas squads with infiltrate
8 Raptors with 3 meltas, powerfist, d str, and infiltrate
8 havocs 4 MLs and tank hunter
8 havocs 4 autocannons and tank hunter.
The general idea being to come at him from 3 fronts so that he must expose side and rear armour to someone somewhere, I have terrible luck with AV 14, dosn't matter what I shoot at it. Possibly put some teleport homers in the raptors/CSM squads and deepstrike the termies and oblits, but I think that will depend on the presence of demolishers.
Anyways anyone have any experience or advice with taking on Amoured company?
I've had the um, pleasure of facing an armored company in a RTT recently, and I can tell you what worked for me.
My Lord- destroyed or disabled 4 tanks. With D.Speed furious charge, darkblade and strength, he charges on a strength 8 most things in the armored company won't move more than 6'' since he wants to blast the crap out of you, with 5 attacks minimum 2 or 3 hitting, you should do very well vs AR 10(rear) the 12'' charge of speed helped so much so often.
My raptors took out A Leman Russ and a Hellhound on their own losing one guy from return fire.2x meltas paid for themselves bigtime.
The havocs(2x 4-Autocannon tank hunters) Immobilized and destroyed 2 weapons on a Tank-ace. And took out 2 chimeras.
My obliterators did very well distracting them. Tank shells bounce off them, and if you fail a wound only causes one! Be careful not to engage LR Exterminators with them 14 Strength 4 to 7 shots really hurts oblits. *EDIT* My mistake, Battlecannons are Str8. Instakilling Oblits if you fail that 2+ save! Thanks for pointing that out to me Andusciassus*
Armored compny is very strong in a firing line, Once flanked(come in being sure to block at least one or more tanks using cover or one of their tanks closest to your troops to minimize fire. They crumble. If you get in close with just one or two squads The Armored company tumbles because it just can't sustain losses worth anything.
If possible infiltrate close and into cover. Even if you have to take a round or two of shelling, you should be able to get something up in their face and tear them apart.
There was a pretty nice tactica on tank hopping using melta toting raptors a little while ago.
Here it is.

W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
Did you knew you could have 6 havocs squads in an army.
Just play Undivided : 3 squads with MOCU and 3 Squads with Mark Of Slaanesh. They have the same weapon options as the regular havocs, but they occupy Elite Slots if your lord is undivided.
This may help.
You then may want to use your heavy support slots to field 3 predators or something like that.
I would also suggest a blood thirster, it can destroy tanks quite easily.
CHAOS Undiv.: won 14/22 games EC: 4/7 WE: 6/9 DG: 10/15, TS: 3/7 Orks : 13/20 SM NL : 1/6 TAU: 14 of 24 IG: 3/7
I suggest to use several models to deepstrike at the rear or side of his gun line, that way he'll be forced to split his firepower between 2 points and there's a risk that his own vehicles might get hit, also make use of the wrecks for extra cover and blocking LoS.
