Hi guys, I have something of a n00b question for you. If you take a Daemon Weapon (such as the Dreadaxe), do oyu have to model it on your prince? I didn't see it anywhere in the codex, but my friend says he got disqualiofied in a tourny for not having his DP's sword painted black to represent a Dark Blade. Thanks.
The weapon has to be present yes, but it can take the form of anything. This is specifically mentioned in the Codex. Just because it says "Dread Axe" doesn't mean the weapon has to be an axe. It can be anything you like, so long as it's suitably imposing and looks very Daemonic.
Your friend was cheated.
I don't know what to say about your friend, but according to the codex as long it looks like a weapon (a sword, axe, spear) I would say you could use it and it is somewhat impressive (different colors, big, etc.)Originally Posted by CSM Codex, pg. 13, Daemon Weapons 3rd paragraph

Alright, thanks a bundle guys.
i have just had a very strange image of a daemon prince weilding a tooth pick (to scale of course) whilst its controller reliably informs me that its a berzerker glaive .
I have a very strange mind:yes:
Equipped with the latest XV25 Stealth Armour these troops are the 'love wolves' of the Tau army, operating independently of other formations.
This cock up is bought to you by GW Australia.
If it was a friendly with a mate, and s/he made me aware, then I wouldn't mind. But, I don't think it would really go down well at a tourny somehow.Originally Posted by Maugatar
Unless he painted it well and called it the Javelin of Fate or something.Welcome aboard :yes:Originally Posted by Maugatar
Indeed, we should start a "Nodding Smiley Face Clan of Weird People":yes:Originally Posted by Karmoon
Sounds perfect for a Slaaneshi Needle of Desire. Well, assuming anyone took it. Ok, if it were actually useful.
Hive Fleet Fuzzy Bunny: Lots and lots of points of Nids (4000pts+)
The Chapter of the Damned: 5500pts of Dark Angels
The Children of Fulgrim: 5-6000pts of Emperors Children
The Kabal of the Bloodied Claw: 2000pts of Dark Eldar
Yea...speaking of DP COnversions, do you guys think it would be suitable to represent D. Speed by adding A Defiler's Exhaust pipes onto the DP's back, kinda liuke a dragster or other racecar? It sounds wierd, but actually looks pretty cool.
Personally I think that’s a cool idea. It would work especially well for an IW legion daemon stature prince.
It’s a bit of a funny one though; there was a heated debate about this in one of the threads a little back.
The general consensus is if you think it isn’t 100% clear then make your opponent aware.
