    Favorite special character

Who is your all time favorite character from codexes new and old and WHY?

Those who fight monsters should see to it that, in the process, they do not become one themselves. And if you gaze long enough into the abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.

Khârn, he hits on a 2+ and he's dirt cheep for what he can do. My only dislike of him is his lack of an invulnerable save.
There once was a Lord named Vlad,
Who's fighting skillz really were mad.
    He killed and he maimed,
He spilled blood in Khorne's name.
And the fact that he's legal makes me glad
(special thanks to Uriel Zarium for the last line/touching it up)

I think I'd say Typhus, because he's built pretty much as anybody makes a Nurgle Lord.

He's pretty cheap, and very cool.

Forgive me for asking, but who's Doomrider? I would probably have to say Kharn though for favorite. Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!
EDIT - Doomrider as in the character.

I voted for Kharn the Betrayer as he has a good backstory and unlike the other characters he has some fun rules like killing his own allys if he feels the need

I don't know what it is, but at my local store, if a Chaos special character is put down on the table, people just tend to shrug it off. But when the special character is Kharn people get really scared.

Anyway, Kharn is my favourite, no questions asked. I read a short story in one of the White Dwarf magazines(i think it was in the first Inferno aswell) and it was about a World Eaters force led by Kharn assaulting a Slaanesh base. In it it says Kharn has a kill counter built into his power armour(or is it actually in his head? i forget). Once they get into the tomb a load of berserkers give into Slaanesh and turn on Kharn. In response Kharn kills all the berserkers with minimal effort but either way, Kharn is amazing, the whole idea of, i dont care who i kill, i just wanna hack some people up, is absolutely amazing lol.

Doomrider was in the last edition of the Chaos Codex, and was written out of the current one. Imagine Ghost Rider without the flaming skull, and you pretty much have Doomrider. He was sort of neat because he was summoned to the battlefield exactly like a Daemon, but had a nasty habit of vanishing from the battlefield at random times. It was possible for him to arrive and then dissapear in the same round.

I'm not keen on any of the 'ready made' characters particularly. I think people, especially Chaos players should be encouraged to create our own. It's like a microwave meal VS a hand made one.

Also, I've seen to many kids buy the abbadon model and then dip him in really thick green and pink paint. It really turns me off heh heh.

I use my own Lord and Lt 9 times out of 10, but this isn't on a poll on whether you use one or which is the best, its just your favourite.
