ive go a few problems with the sons list ive been tweeking. none directly related to the list, more rules tactics stuff. anywho, a big one is the psychic hood, what can if anything i do about it? the end body count is looking like 8 rubric 16 demons and an 4 rubric terms with 3 sorceror champs and a lieutenant, as well as 2 preds and 2 rhinos. what head counts do you sons folks find succesful? ive been thouroughly enjoying my tzeentch boys in friendly play. i have found that they do flips when i give em a rhino! the demon summoning seems like it will lock down a bit of game play, as far as cause certain moves to become almost cumplosory, how can i make tzeentch demon summoning faster, and less crawling? my overall game plan seems kinda straight forward, any way to really pull something out of yer arse while playin the sons?
thanks a ton
Not much, to be honest.Originally Posted by purple40k

The best way to negate it is to just keep doing what you were doing in the first place - swamp them with spells. Also note that Flamers are immune to the Psychic Hood, so don't let him use it against their Doombolt. That doesn't sound right. Are you sure they're Rubric Terminators and not Chosen Termies? If they're Rubric, you'll only be allowed the single Champion to lead them. If they're bought from the Chosen entry, then they're all Sorcerers with the 1 wound profile.Originally Posted by purple40k

Like caluin said, nothing much to be done...if you don't just kill it's wearer.a big one is the psychic hood, what can if anything i do about it?
I recommend Defiler and Screamers for this.I suppose (hope) you are fielding the Daemons, two minimum Rubric squads, each with a Champ and in a Rhino plus a minimum Rubric Terminator squad, topped with the Lt and backed up by the Preds, am I right?8 rubric 16 demons and an 4 rubric terms with 3 sorceror champs and a lieutenant, as well as 2 preds and 2 rhinos.
I haven't checked the armylist section yet, but if you post your list there, but I'll give you this hint:Thralls. It seems to me you are not using the sacred number for your packs. If you did you should really have 18, not 16 of them. That +1 goes for a mile.how can i make tzeentch demon summoning faster, and less crawling?Well maybe not from there, it sounds more nurlesque to me, but there is however another place where the sun never shines...the Black Library.any way to really pull something out of yer  while playin the sons?
From there we did steal some knowledge from the Eldar hence the Chapter Approved, opponents conscent needed, special HQ-choice from last years August WD (UK, I think it was June in US). the Chosen of Ahriman are a great thing to pull out in a game to startle your opponent.

thanks for the replies so quickly sound avice on the daemon packs. thralls are obviously included already, didnt add them into to model count. the sorcerers are all with a squad, two rubric squads of 5 and another with rubric terms of 5, each with 2 thralls, oh yeah 1 thrall with the sorcerer in the terms because of points. no chosen here! how is it only 34% chance of beating out a spell, i thought all libbies have equal ld? sorry about the list confusion... psychic hood negates on a tie tooo? its lookin to come to approx 77 wounds not counting thralls. does that seem low? is point for point a TS list better off mixing and matching psychic powers? like possibly adding a gift of change or two, because to me it seems all those bolts of change are gunna be my one saving grace against marines and any skimmer army?
looks like now is time for a list post... darn it...
thanks a ton folks, sorry about the mixup for the troop choice thing.
edit, after the list post i noticed that i wasnt able to keep all the thralls for the squads and still bump up the daemon packs to sacred number level. thanks
