I finally have my Slaanesh (working with a holy rapture, not a bewbies, angle) DP painted up enough that I can share some WIP shots:
What I'm trying to work on how is how to equip her in a reasonably WYSIWYG fashion. I have a few ideas (some are pretty damn obvious) but I'm curious what people think. I'm already stepping deep into the counts-as pool with the model already, so I'd like to keep the equipment reasonable. The only real requirements are Mark of Slaanesh, and 50 points of gifts so that she qualifies as a daemon prince.
You play your game, I'll play mine.
The tattoo isn't a bad idea, I think I'll try to work it in depending on how I go with the army. I'm not likely to really modify the model very much at this point; I'm fairly happy with how it looks. It's more of an issue of making the upgrades fit the model, than making the model fit the upgrades. I had the following set of upgrades in mind.Originally Posted by Shoal07

It's probably a bit expensive, although I might just be sensitive after using cheap loyalist HQs. If it's really poorly constructed let me know, but I'd like to keep the focus more on making the upgrades reasonable for the model.

first of all, Bob Dole, that's a really nice model. Well painted and totally original.
But.. is there no way you can make it a little more.. androgenous? I dunno.. I have big problems with female spacemarines.. the problem being there aren't any female space marines and there never will be.
HAVING said that though.. if you field it as an original Daemon rather than a Chaos Space Marine Lord i guess it would be ok.
On to armaments and choice:
For 172 points she's a little lack lustre.
Pros: I7 - very very nice. Flight - although still taking dangerous tests.
My advise would be to give her stature and then a special weapon of some kind. It'll make her a bit more expensive, but it's worth it. At she stands she's only usefull against squads and even then, enough hidden weapons will put her away.
With F.Charge and D. Str if you go for Darkblade then suddenely she's a threat to pretty much anything on the board. Even a carnifex @ 2-3 wounds is prey.
Unfortunately as you've modelled the B.Pistol on her, you can't give her Stature. This is unfortunate because with F. charge you could have had the 'Chaos Warscythe' at broodlord initiative. Aah well.. so close to perfection.
I think wings are an acceptable way to represent D.speed too - the wings are big and powerfull, but not enough to make her fly, instead she bounds about the place really damn quick.
Speed is generally thought of as being better. Plus you eliminate pesky tests for landing in difficult terrain.
As she isn't statured, I think Rune can be safely dropped. With clever deployment, movement and use of cover she can generally be pretty safe. With speed you get to pick your fights too.
...oh yeah, wouldn't she be a daemon princess too?

Also, on the model... i agree it doesnt look... Daemony enough... Very nice model... but its sorta 'kind' looking for chaos... Hmm.
And not working on the idea of 'bewbies'? They are scaresely covered! =P
