So, I've been thinking about latd for some time now. I've done a couple of searches through latd threads but there's still a few things I want to know. Some of these questions may be kinda weird so... sorry, latd are just confusing
The first question concerns allied chaos legions. I'd like to know exactly which rules still apply to them. For instance, I'd like to take a thousand sons HQ with disc of change and bolt of change. Does that mean that I would then be unable to take obliterators? because you can't have them in a pure thousand sons army, even though this isn't a pure thousand sons army.
Also, I plan on using traitors. So what's the best way to use them? taking into account that they're going to have to be at full strength as I'm not using mutants.
"Units with a mark of chaos are always elites choices." Does this mean that if I give a chaos HQ a mark of chaos that it becomes an elites choice? :shifty:
What would you guys say is the best mark for an aspiring champion? Seeing that I'll be using traitors I imagine the extra initiative of slaanesh would be especially useful, not to mention cheap.
Generally what I'm going for with my latd army is a relatively quick slaanesh or tzeentch themed traitor army, with infiltrate on the traitors, deep striking with the oblits (not sure about that part yet), and everything else being either fast or a tank.
Well that's about all for the time-being, though I'm sure I'll come up with more questions soon.
"You challenge me knowing that I am Xiahou Dun!?"
30 traitors max. Thats only 2 squads for you. Mutants are highly recommended but as long as the core of your forces aren't traitors you should be able to survive. Obliterators, unmarked marines, a big lord (Yes he can be thousand sons) and plenty of daemons should be the core of your force then, not traitors. Just 2 squads of them.
lol I guess your HQ does become Elites, I wouldn't try to do it though.

If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
The rest I can't comment on, not being a pure LaTD player.
The best mark? I say undivided.
But it costs --pts! I here you say.
But think about it. You have a pack of 20 or so crazy mutants who are great in CC. You have two hidden powerfists in the squad.
With the aspiring champ and MoCU, they're now at leadership 10 with a reroll.
which works out at less than 2 but more than 0 points per model!
I tell you.. in assault, mutants are incredible. They smash everything. It's great
