I've been pondering this one for a while:
In the book it says that the Mark of Tzeentch makes any Chosen, Possessed, Characters or Aspiring Champions into Sorcerers, and they may then select psychic powers from the Armoury.
Assume I get a squad of 10 Chosen, buy the Mark of Tzeentch for each model. Now each model in the unit is a Sorcerer. Say I want the squad to use Bolt of Change - would I therefore pay the XX points per model? Or XX points for the squad?
The reason I ask is because I first assumed the first option - pay per model, the Codex would specify otherwise, right? I use Army Builder to build my lists however, and it uses the pay per squad system.
Which is the correct way?
To gain access to the Bolt of Change your Chosen-individual must be a Champion, as BoC is considered a Gift from the Gods.
And you'd have to buy each of your models their spells as individuals. So 10 BoCs would be 10XX points.
Never trust the Army-builder. Ever. Never ever.
Thanks a lot for the clarification. I have become to complacent in my Chaos Codex-deciphering. Of course, you could still have 10 Bolts of Change by upgrading each Chosen to an Aspiring Champion...
But damn! Suddenly that Tzeentch Chosen with 10 Gifts of Chaos/Wind seems a little less attractive costing so many points
Gift and Wind don't require the champion upgrade. There is another thread on this subject, let me see if I can find it.
