Hi again all
Well as the titlt suggests i would be interested to know what you guys use for chaos hounds in your armies?
I have a box of goblin wolf riders that im not using and was wondering on the conversion possibilities of these? horns forked tails weepin sores, all that good wholseome stuff.
So what do you guys use? Thanks in advance
remember this is chaos right, so you could technically use anything as a "hound". a friend of mine uses bat swarms from lotr for his "hound" models in his slaanesh army. this fits his theme because bats use sonics to find their way around and they could use it to attack in 40k just like noise marines:yes:
a khorne army loves blood so use a vampire bat or a giant mosquitoe:wacko: (omg)
tzeentch likes change and psykers so use a fallen imperial priest to follow him around or a couple of thrall models on shield drones(if the lord has flying)
nurgle is disease so make an attack dog sized rat with the plague(skaven?) or even have big nurgling swarm bases follow him around
slaanesh could use anything that uses noise(lol a rock star gone more evil). the bats were an excellent idea and maybe a giant cricket looking thing?
be original, your chaos, who said you are bound by the laws of the materium
JOIN MY SQUAD IN THE SONS OF THE LIBRARIUM THREAD, I NEED TACTICAL MARINES! I PLAN TO CONVERT UP A SQUAD TO "COUNT AS" LoTD IN MY SMarine ARMY
Rheagar fought nobly
Rheagar fought valiantly
Rheagar fought honorably
And Rheagar died.
There are dogs available in the Mordheim (Witchhunters) and Necromunda (Scavies)ranges, too.
In addition - as mentioned previously there are dogs avialble in WHFB (Vampire Counts and of course the suitably spikey and mutated Chaos Hounds)
Shut up and play.

those are the acctualy warhound models. and for the most part i think they're good. i dunno i see little reason to start using wolfsor mordheim dogs that realy wont look like they're supposed to.
when taking chaos hounds in friendly games i use small (to scale with 40k) dinsaurs and other random animal such as the occasional duck or cat. it is very funny, but sadly not tounamet legal.
