Since I like to play a variety of different Chaos armies and I really don't want to repaint them all each time I make a switch, is there any way to mark them so that the opponent will know what they are? My models are currently black with silver highlights and red weapons and other details. I gave them pink eyes because I play Slaanesh a lot too. Currently, I'm playing an IW army and they just don't look that Iron Warrior-y... so what can you do to spruce them up? I do like the IW color scheme but I just can't fix myself to playing only one style army... after all, variety is the spice of life. I figure with a generic black/silver/red theme I can play them as BL, or any cult army with a standard bearer but I'm worried what my opponent will think. I'd like to add the IW decal to a few of my pieces... but then if I'm playing Slaanesh again my opponent might mistake my unit as something its not.
How do you guys handle painting and playing your models as different armies? Do you only play one, or do you repaint each time?
The thing that i think could matter, is if you use marks on your guys and not represent it on them. My idea would be to use some flat magnets painted with a mark, or the letters IW, and if you could pull it off you could just switch theese little details for a whole new army!
EDIT: Or magnetic Backpacks?

Marks are easiest done in the form of little banners that stick out from your aspiring champions' back packs.
You only have to make a few, and just plonk 'em on. Voila, you have squad identification and Iconage for daemon summoning all in one
What if you are playing an army like IW and you don't really use ACs...
Ntohing wrong with marines marching to war under their banners. Your opponent will be happy that there's no aspiring champion in the squad.
