Quick question... didn't know where the proper place was to post this. At any rate, what do you guys use to transport your defiler? I am thinking of getting the big green carrying case from GW... although $90 for plastic seems silly... but I'm not sure it will fit. Also, my defiler isn't fully assembled yet and I'm debating whether or not I should glue the legs to the model or if it would be easier to transport without them.
On a side note, will the new case be able to carry big tank like vehicles like the basilisk? And I'm not sure what size foam will fit Obliterators or other 40mm bases... do they fit in standard infantry that comes with it? I don't want to make the large investment unless it will fulfill all of my needs. Can anyone else recommend some similar cases? I've been through the countless threads but I'd prefer the opinion of someone who has to fit all the weird Chaos shapes into a silly case.
P.S. - Here is the link to the Green Case I am referring to.

i just cut out a big section from the foam thingy so the vehical will fit. its easier if the vehical can be seperated into different parts.
That is not dead which may eternal lie,
for in strange aeons even death may die.
I have one of those big Army Transport bags, and did what alexpape7 did. But now, I just cease to carry that big thing altogether, and only use it when people are playing in my house.

That's good enought to make it intact to Timbuktu in the back of a brown truck.
Look for like-new hinged boxes with quarter-round locking tabs on the overleaf.
The best ones (from computer stores) have fitted foam inserts already inside. :- )
Not stylish perhaps, but the price is right . . .
As mentioned before, cardboard box w/ foam works well. I sport an eggo box for my defiler. A tackle box works well too.

I use the Army Transport carrying cases, so I just pulled the foam out like so. Magnetized the turret for easier transport and marking it as a destroyed vehicle when needed.
About any sturdy case with plenty of foam works fine though.
Oh, and you can check out the cases here. I favor the Motor Pool. Good price, comes with a full load of customizable trays and easily transports 2000+ points of Chaos on it's own, complete with rulebooks, templates, dice, and trimmings. And for $20 less then the 1 green GW case. Even has good trays for handling stuff like obliterators.

The motor pool really is the best buy overall, like Xardian said. Sabol produces IMO the best miniature carrying cases.
