*whistles in awe*
All that stuff would fetch what, £80 in the UK. I dunno about US, how much are the basic box sets over the pond? In the Uk it's a big ripoff, they charge you 7 quid (about 9 dollars, I think) for a Necron lord, and £25(about $40, i think) for a greater daemon. Plus, mail order to your house costs the equivalent of about $6!!

Who else thinks GW charges too much for the models? I asked one of the staff to explain it too me, but all he gave me was all this ***** about how the sculptors have to be paid, and the packagers, and some goes back into the system, and some they have to pay their worldwide staff in the 700+ stores, but surely if they have that many stores, they can afford this, and if they didn't pour as much money into Fanatic, they could afford to lower prices a bit. I mean, a couple of months ago they raised the price of paints. And they don't even bother having sales or Buy one get one free or anything like that. And still, in most of the stores, they act like condescending, cocky, patronising pricks to anyone who walks through the door that's not a first-time customer. Is it the same in the US, or other countries for that matter?

Woaaah, I feel for you man. I suppose the following for GW in South Africa is even less than in the Uk then. It is not big at all in the Uk.

Yeah its horrible....the only ones i know of who plays actually is me and 3 of my friends haha We dont have rosters or tournaments or even painting competitions. I mean im a chaos player and i couldnt get hold of ANY of the Liber Chaotica books that black library brought out...we cant even import it! I want the tzeentch one so bad but theres no way to get it unless u get it online but i dont have a credit card so yeah its pretty rough over here in that respect.

I always thought england has a big following(??) My parentsl ive there and im moving there in 3 months and thought "hey....finally i can play more!" cozz the shops there are always full of kids and ppl and it looks like it has a big following. But i guess since i havent been to the US i cant really compare it. In a way im glad there arent too many ppl here who play it - i dont want it to become too commercial or anything cozz i lose interest the moment too many ppl like something.

Oh well....hopefully better luck in england...all i know is i wont mind at all paying 25 pounds for a GD haha!

Once way way way back in the day I was at a Swap-meet (flea market) and everyone was packing up for the day. I came across a table with some old Miniatures and model kits and stuff. The guy out of nowhere offered to sell everything he had left for only 5 bucks. I filled a box about the size of a military footlocker full of stuff and walked out happier than a pig in *****. None of it was Games workshop but it filled out my D&D minis very well.
