this is just an idea i had that i thought would be cool
kay the basic fluff is a chapter born of the white scars has fallen to khorne worship thus the handle "bloodscars" they still retain their err white scarryness
basic list structure
troops would be 2 units of 8 bloodletters then 3 units of 8 bikers with hounds (to keep em alive mostly) every bike unit has a meltagun and a p.fist on the champ as well as a banner of blood then the rest of the points would go into hq on bikes and chosen on bikes with the possible exception of a pred or 2 for antitank
what do you think?
"take my love, take my land, take me to where i cannot stand, i don't care i'm still free you can't take the sky from meee" ;- firefly
"i'm gonna grant you your greatest wish i'm gonna show you a world without sin" ;- serentiy
"I am a leaf on the wind, watch how i soar" ;- serenity
The idea.. I love. I think it's great.
It's one of those armies which should have special rules.
The problems being:
1. Fire arms upgrades on Khornate bikers.
I'm not sure if this is possible. I've never been too partial to khorne so I've always ignored this debate. I know a lot of people think that it's the bike that gets the upgrade, so it's ok.. but if that'S the case, why does the plasma overhead?
2. Doggies as meatshields
You can only have a maximum of 4. This means that the shield of dog meat would only kick in once you have 3 bikers left due to majority armour rules.
3. If you're happy to forget the khorny aspect of the army, I think that Night lords would be another great choice for the army, as they get the bonus fast attack slot.
In fact, forget that, a black legion army will give you the most fast attack slots, with 3 unmarked and 3 with the mark of khorne who automatically become elites.
This solves any melta upgrade issues, and you can still use bloodletters.

Karmoon is quite right. There are a couple of things you could do (though I agree BL would be far more better) you can upgrade the weapons on Khornate Bikes that are bought from the armoury, so your chosen squads and HQ could use melta/plasma.
If you give your Champs Daemonic Armour you could opt to use the Hounds saves after the majority saves are taken. It would improve his chances of survival, but not the units.
Finally I must say I really like the idea. I think you would have yourself a very challenging army with a very distinct way on the table. If you do continue this idea, you should talk not only with Chaoticans, but the White Scars & Ravenwing-players. They are bound to have some clever ideas you can use, then come back here and post an armylist and we can give the final dark-power advice.
I think that's a very creative and wonderful idea. The execution will be the toughest part.
Steer clear of Chosen. They'll clock in at 47 points a piece before any Marks, weapons, or other upgrades, which is too expensive to be acceptable. You could wall of Dog-Meat on the Chosen, but the Hounds are so fragile that they'll only absorb maybe a single volley of fire.
And there's a couple of other logistical issues to deal with. First, I think you were meaning that the Champion will be getting a Meltagun, but that would require him to purchase a new bike from the Armoury. That runs you 30 points per Meltagun, which is way too expensive.
Second, only units of Chosen can have special Banners, which includes the Banner of Blood.
However, Karmoon had the good idea of going Black Legion. Not only can you squeeze in six units of Bikers, three of the units can have Meltas in them, giving you a decent amount of speedy anti-tank.
I wonder if you could squeeze in a Bloodthirster, but model him as the old Doomrider? Doomrider was a summonable Daemon in the last edition Codex that flew around on a Bike. Think Ghost Rider, but Chaosy.
I really like the idea of a Khorn bike army. You will probably be horribly outnumbered most of the time. And the problem is of course that you are mixing T5 and T4 models, as mentioned before.
You can also think about going for the "Daemonic Steed" upgrade rather than the bike in some cases. I think it will cost you the same points-wise but it will give you the "Cavalry" move instead of the bike move. You could combine that with infiltrate.
Shut up and play.
I can just see this grotesque daemon speeding around on a living, snarling bike covered in organic spikes and tentacles. Would be amazing.
