This is my fist post for this forum. So here goes.
Everytime I read the Chaos Codex pg. 10 I keep thinking that it would be cool to field Abaddon in a 2K point army with a Chosen of four. One of them in terminator armour with a great weapon or maybe Dark Blade, mark of slaanesh and combat drugs. The second would be a Sorcerer with maybe a power weapon, mark of Tzeentch and some sort of tzeentch power. The third would be a close combat specialist with the mark of Khorne with a plain old power glaive, rage of Khorne and mutation. The fourth would have the mark of Nurgle and a Plague sword with Blight Grenades and mutation.
The reason I say this is because the characters they talk about on page 10 of the Chaos codex that are labled in the next page picture as Abaddons Chosen or should I say The chosen of Abaddon sound like they could be fielded this way.
I know that you can't do this but wouldn't it be cool. I don't know what the points cost would be or the best way to field them but it would be cool.
The problem is, IIRC, you cannot mix marks in one squad, meaning that the chosen would have to all be aspiring champions leading DIFFERENT squads.
It sounds like a fun kill team idea (Someone brought it up recently, apologies that I have forgotten who) and though it breaks some mutable rules, it still sounds quite a fun idea to field.
Also remembering that one of Abbadons Chosen (Ygmethor) Is dead, killed during the fall of medusa V campaign.
Rork: In the dark future of the 41st millennium there is only friendship.
Fenrir: and magic.
Kaiser-: My Little Chaos Marine, Friendship is Heresy?
oh, he did ? wow, gw actually made a character die.. wow, that's kinda unbelivable...
Cough.. cough.. Eldrad Ulthran..
Not to mention Saint Celestine, who was already 'dead' when her model was released.. In fact, she only lived through one campaign fluffwise.
However, just as Eldrad still walks the gaming table casting several psychic powers on the same turn and otherwise making opponents scream in frustration, I see no reason why you can't rezz Ygmethor.

I really like your idea. I bet it will be great both to create and play them.
The only piece of advice I'll be able to give you would be on the Tzeentchian though. You should give him either the very colourfull Twisting Path (as killpower would not really be this units greatest problem) and/or Gift of Chaos. Both those spells goes well with CC-sorcerers.
I wish you the best of luck and wish you come back with pics. Course I really would like to see those guys.
