    Well....

Number one isn't that great, since he's got the Glaive but no Stature or Terminator Armour. That means he's prime target for Missile Launchers, which ignore his armour and FnP. Terminator Armour would go a long ways on him, but Stature even further. Terminator Armour would allow him to Deep Strike, and the Stature would protect him from Lascannons/MLs.

Number two is illegal. Can't Master Craft a Gift of the Gods. Drop that, and he's not that bad.

Number three is pretty balanced, but could benefit from Furious Charge. So he gets my vote.

I voted for no. 3, Since I am a huge fan of the darkblade lord. Also May I reccomend dropping essence? It usually isnt worth it, especially when you can get a beserker for only 5 points more.

Also the daemonic speed means you will have more control over him (Which is always a good thing in Khornate armies.)

    Number 3 easily.
He needs that F.charge though as Cal advised with his mighty wisdom.

I'd also say feel no pain over essence anyday of the week. WBB is much better than an extra wound.

To continue the trend, I voted for #3.

BTW, with the glaive, you can't use any other movement modifiers, which means you get no benefit from having daemonic speed on your first h.q.

we'll i see a trend. since you guys are pretty much "the chaos experts" i think no.3 is probly the best option.

one question though karmoon. i remeber having you dezign a similar lord for me in you army list builder thing, and you made the guy like number two....
sorry if i cuaght you with your pants down or whatever you cacti wear.

hey, is there any way to edit a poll? i just thought up a fourth option, somewhat similar to no.3.:x

I had to be in the minority on this one. I'll admit it, I like the Glaive. I think it is a severely underestimated weapon. If you play your cards right with an auto bloodlust you can set it up so it charges to what you want and he will be more than powerful enough to pop a tank from the side with his strength upgrades. I like the double attacks. For a nice cheap 155 pt Lord is what I would do because most of that is wasted because the other lords are for those points. I say do this.
    Lord,
    --Mok
    --glaive
    --stature
    --D armor
    --FnoP
155 points for a pretty devastating lord, have not too much fear of low AP weapons because the glaive give you a nice invulnerable save. That IMO is the only way to make a glaive lord who is cheap yet effective. If you dont want a cheaper lord then go for the darkblade because the one with a lot of attacks doesnt have many more and the darkblade lord is way better. Go with a cheap glaive lord or #3
    40,000- 7,000 Points Chaos Space Marines=18 and 17
    40,000- 2,500 Points Tau Empire=1 and 2

IT's true. I do like the Axe of Khorne combo.. but it all depends on what function your Chaos Lord plays in your army.

If he's a troop sweeper, then take axe of khorne.
If he's meant for power, then take the dark blade.

I suggested number 3 because he's probably the most tactically balanced of the three.. i.e. he can be used for most situations. In the list that I made, I felt the Axe of Khorne would have been good.

#2 and #3 are both good (barring essence in my opinion), but in the current chaos codex's state, the dark blade probably the best daemon weapon.

KingPin's idea for a statured lord is really quite good also - very very nice on the points level.

My only problem with stature is that, it's too big an opporunity to miss the dread axe combination.

To be honest, they're all not bad at all, and whether he makes his points back will be down to how you use him rather than whether he has spikey bits or not.

    Chaos Lord
    Terminator Armour
    Two Lightning Claws
    Mark Undivided
    Furious Charge
    Deamonic Mutation
    Deamonic Rune
    If you have room
    Deamonic Strength

7 attacks on the charge at str5-6 power weapon with re-rollable to wound that cannot be instant killed has a 2+ save and a 5+ invulnerable. Highly survivable.
