Hey everyone, I was stating a starts as army using LATD, that focuses a lot on Mutants. I was wonering if u guys could give me just a little help w/ its configuration. I have decided to get a very large group of Big Mutants w/ scaly skin as partially a bodyguard, and also to do a hell of a lot of damage to the enemy, But the mutants are a bit more of a problem. I am heavily debating whether I should give them Daemonic Speed, or Daemonic Strength. I wanted to know which one you guys would find more usefull for an assault oreinted army.
I have no experience wwith the big mutants, but apparantly they are not worth it, so take them solely for fluff purposes, but do not expect much from them.
The mutants should be bare, no upgrades on them, then have aspiring champions from your hq attached with powerfists, spiky bits and daemnoci mutation.
Also add in a mutant boss with a powerfist.
And the 2 flamers are always nice to have when you get into close quarters.
Remember these are meat shields, they are there to soak up damage, and if they get into combat and the powerfists kill things, its a good bonus.

The only upgrade that has been worth taking up to now, IMHO, is the Nurgle upgrade, which increase the armour save of your mutants, making them bolt/pulse-resitants. Since they are walking the field, they have to survive the marathon.
And big mutants are pretty useless. They are big, ok, but they don't accomplish much in close combat. And with T4, they die quickly.
