I'm currently giving my Deamonvessel a power sword. Wouldn't a plaguesword be in place instead? A S7 power weapon that instakills on 4+ for only 5 pts more? Sounds yummy to me. Any comments?
Gift of Chaos. I'm thinking on using it on my GUO (I am making some spawns) but when thinking about it I find it tempting to use it not only on enemy models but friendly marines aswell. As long as the I stay in cc a spawn would fare better than a regular PM, no? Comments?
You don't want to give your daemonvessel anything except D.Chains as you'll lose the model once Blobby appears.Comment: I like your evil. :shifty: It may actually be more useful to use GoC on an ally as you need a 6 to warp most worthy prey. The problem, I think, will be getting into CC in the first place. If you can manage that...shucks, I might try this myself with a squad of 20 CSMs.Gift of Chaos. As Intrepid said, you don't need to worry about giving the vessel anything but d. chains. The greater daemon requirements are already expensive. At best, you'll get one round of attacks with a power weapon, prior to the GUO appears.
Gifts: It really is better to use on enemy models, as you don't lose points in the sacraficed marine. Make your opponent lose points by sucking up his/her models. Even if you're converting a lowly gaunt, it's still a 20 point model that is decent in c.c.. In some cases it's actually better to convert cheap models, that is, in those situations in which you need more models on the table.
Hope this helps.

Give a possessed a Pweapon isn't that bad of an idea, especially with d.chains and d.str, its a I4 Pfist I wouldn't use this against Eldar but against other armies, I think it would be great.
I suppose, but its fun. I usually give my Beserker a powerweapon and chains, no dstr (bloodthrister), and let him smack stuff up before he pops. Its all about ur preference.
I played a "pit of champions" like we have here only at the local games workshop store several months ago, the points limit was 400pts, and you were only allowed to take HQs, monsterous creaturs and other big nasty expensive stuff.
I took: A statured speeded khorne prince, dreadaxe, chainst FnP, the works, took him right up to 195pts, and made him a daemonvessel for my second model... a bloodthirster. People hated me. HATED ME. because I spent the first half of the game charging and killing anything it came in contact with. THEN it lost its 4th wound and a Bloodthirster came out and by that time, there was only two other models left on the board. THAT was fun.. Strength 10 dreadaxe... aaah yeah.
"what? 400 points and you only have ONE model? hahaha, overtooled DP, fool"
then "WHAT? he was a DAEMONVESSEL?! for a BLOODTHIRSTER?"
Me: "BWAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH B*#$&hes!"
