I play in a league. I am one down from the top tier and up until recently ran with DP DA's....Since the Codex revision, I am having to either update my DP angels or go in a different direction....Dusts off the IW's. I am getting a free army change(don't have to be dropped to the bottom rung because I am changing lists)
I also am able to challenge for the top rung in a few days....Top guy is eldar I'll bring the following army....because it is all that I have IW.....without adding a few Loyalist Las Cannons I have laying around or pulling out my thousand sons.

Eldar Opponent who usually wins.....
I will face two troop squads with weapon platforms...some kind of missle and I think a lance.
Farseer....with the throwy spear thing and fortune....
2 Wraithlords...with at least one starcannon maybe a bright lance and the flamers
Falcon with the six melta gun guys..starcannon and the s6 thing I get saves against
Wave serpent with a full squad of something....In most of his games...they have never had to get out.
What can I add to powergame my way through.....I'm facing a very hard list to crack......Any help would be appreciated.
Your list isn't too bad for what you're facing - the key will be infiltrating into good positions and then target priority. Try to place the las cannon squads where they can see the falcon before the game starts - getting a penetrating hit before it moves is the only reliable way to kill it.
The tank hunting autos will drop his wave serpent in one round of shooting with any kind of decent rolling. The melta gun + AC w/ PF squads can take care of his wraithlords, too. Heck, if you put a wound or two on it with shooting, your daemon prince can drop him (just make sure not to charge it in cover or he will insta-kill you at I10) on the charge. After that, it's just being careful of the fire dragon squad. 6 of them in a falcon can cause considerable damage - but they are not that sturdy. Since the falcon can be so hard to drop if you don't get first turn, so you're likely to have to take a round of shooting from the fire dragons and just counter attack it.
I'm curious, though, as to why you have no daemonic speed or flight on your infiltrating lord.

Simply. No model to represent speed/flight. I have a warsmith conversion with sword. My other Chaos lord/AC types are all TS sorcerer conversions. I should probably start one. God knows I have the bits.
If my suspicions are correct, then what is in that wave serpent is to be greatly feared, as I would guess that they are howling banshees. If you don't know, they all have power weapons and are at init.5, and Init.10 on the charge reguardless of grenades or cover. Just letting you know.
I play world eaters and eldar, looking at his list which is similar to mine with exception I use dark reapers and 1 wraithlord... chances are the banshee's are in that wave serpent and they have counter attack I10 on first round assualt they also force you to take a moral check and if failed you're ws1. the good news is they are only str 3 but if he has a farseer on a bike chances are he will also have doom which lets him choose a squad and re-roll wounds when he attacks it... which helps the banshees
banshee's will fall fast if shot at from a distance low toughness and 4+ saves
same with the dragons in the falcon low toughness 4+ save although I would either shot from further than 12 or assualt them their str 8 ap 1 rifles will drop anything
