I have been seeing on the web and different forums about a special rule for thousand sons that was released in a white dwarf about some kind of veil of darkness teleport that the thousand sons can have. I know that their is fluff supporting it with ahriman but not sure if it was ever made a rule. Anyone know any thing about it? i have seen it too much to think noone should know anything about it hopefully. Thanks
This teleportation ability you've seen referred to is "the Key". It's magic won during the quest for the Black Library during the Eye of Terror campaign.
In UK WD Aug-05 and a couple of months earlier in the US there were a "need opponents permission" special HQ-option. primarily for use in Thousand Sons armies, but it could also be used in a Black Legion or LatD army, if not as powerful.
Basically it's a Unit of independent Lieutenants with access to "the Key" a teleportation spell that can be used to move Rubrics on the battlefield.
It's a great asset to any TS player but it's a bit crippled due to the "opponents consent" thing.
is there any way to see which US white dwarf it is so i can order it or is it just as easy to order it off the UK one. just so i can find the exact rules for it since people wont beleive me probably
They already made such a thing? Good. I'd love to see The Key become a standard issue psychic power for Tzeentch in the next Codex however expensive it ends up. Makes sense for any CSM force, and Chaos Space Marines are meant to have more power over the Warp than any other group except MAYBE the Eldar, so why not?
