why not?

if the base is regulation size, you should be able to use it

most definately. spawn can look like anything just as long as its not like a CM tall and on a standard base.

arent GW tight tho. I read somewhere, that you have to use a proportion of there 'bitz' in order for a model to be legal. Nevertheless, Im sure GW wouldnt allow another company's model in their tournies

I don't think there would be any problem with this. I have 2 spawn (well, 1 in the making) and both are just a bunch of bits made into something looking a bit (from a distance) like a creature rather than utter randomness.

Well let me quote something from GW website. It's found right here:

http://us.games-workshop.com/games/warhamm...lists/list4.htm

It says(bottom of the page)

Just remember: if you want to field this army, you are going to have to model lots and lots of Chaos Spawn in order to be able to keep the pressure on. But with so many bitz at your disposal, and the open-ended, fun nature of modeling such foul creatures, who's complaining?
Yes I know that this is fantasy but it is the same idea. Hope this helps
