Hi I've recently turned away from Warhammer 40k since I've moved from Singapore back to my home country Australia and I have been caught up in a lot of stuff like my band (which we play gothic music like Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir). Anyway i now look at my Khorne army with disapointment and the need to do something to it. I would like to know how some other players paint the red power armour, convert their berzerkers ect. I have a land raider, a defiler, Kharn the betrayer, a chaos leiutenant, 8 possessed, and around 30 odd berzerkers not to mention a predator. What else should I consider (I'm trying to get more berzerkers too)?
Perhaps some Bloodletters?
Well, since no one else is responding; as I mentioned earlier. Bloodletters. Shame their metal models thus costing a bit more. But having like 10 (2 squads of 5 each) would be nice. With 'letters in it, you probably would need a Khorne Icon. So model one yourself or see if you can pick up the "old" Khorne icon bearer model. I made small pole on the back of my Asp. Champ's backpack and slapped on a Khorne Icon from the vehicle sprue.
Khornate bikers would be another cool thing to do. Riding on bikes they get more movement benefit, which is a nice addition to their CC skills.
Perhaps you could even model a Khornate dread from loyalist one (the current Chaos ones are a pain to convert I think)
Though conversion are mostly something on how much bits you've got left and if you're willing to trade/buy the right bits. Or.. eventually, if you're good with GS you could sculpt yourself.
Getting more berzerkers? Well, that's welcome addition to all Khorne armies. But keep in mind the free Asp. champion with the numbers thing I find it quite disturbing that there aren't enough Chainaxes in the box ( But then again, Bloodletters count as Troops too, and they could dish out some damage as they have pretty much MEQ stats and can pop up closer to the enemy.. and not forget their power weapons
As for painting; I did mine building up from Black to Red gore up to Blood red. Took like 2 or 3 layers of Red gore to get a "smooth" red base. And then a couple of thin coats of blood red to make it a lot brighter. After that I gave em a Red ink wash. And then I went on for the Gold trims and the other details. But I'm not that much of a great painter, so as for painting I can give pretty much only this "advice"

Thanks! I'd take all the advice i can get. I'll try your way of painting the armour but i'm going for a much darker appearence and a sort of brassy trim (which I have already acheived). I really should consider investing in some blood letters too. When I get better i might do a dread. Thanks for all your help.
Khornate armies are deceptively deep. And have many options available to them.
MY suggestion is to post an army list in the relevant section. Once you gain some constructive crit and encouragement, you'll know which direction to take your army of madmen.
