    Tzeentch

I'm considering to start collecting Chaos, and I have decided to get a Tzeentch army.

What units do you think I should get?

Well what kind of Tzeentch army will it be? A Thousand Sons army, or a Black Legion army with a lot of Tzeentchian units? (I'd go for the first, it's much cooler.) I'd get at least 2 squads of 9 TS as troops, and then you can add a squad of Flamers or Horrors as another troops choice. Flamers have a lot more firepower, but they're more expensive. As HQ an independant Lord will do fine, maybe with Daemonic Flight and some nice abilities like Bolt of Change and Twisting Path (you'll need a Familiar if you want both though). I wouldn't bother with Chosen or Possessed yet, as these are very expensive if you want to make use of their sorceror skills. You might want to take a unit of Screamers, they're pretty cool and they give you some mobility. As for heavy support, a tank like the predator doesn't seem to fit with the TS theme, I'd go for a Defiler once the model is released, and maybe a dreadnought with twin lascannon.

I was planning to get a thousand sons army, preferably daemon heavy. I was thinking of a greater daemon and daemon prince as hq. Some chosen in terminator armour for elite, and thousand sons and daemons for troop.
    Any thoughts?

Daemon heavy.. sounds cool. It depends on how you wan to play the army, but here's a couple of suggestions:
Give the Daemon Prince Flight and some other abilities to keep it alive (I assume you'll give him Stature): Aura (a must), Essence (another must), and maybe Resilience and Armour. As Daemon Princes can always be picked out by enemy fire you'll really need this to keep him alive long enough. I'd give him and the Lord of Change the Bolt of Change, this is a S8 shot so you can try to wipe out some tanks with it if you're too far to charge.

To get Terminators, you don't need Chosen. You can also give the Thousand Sons from the Troops section Terminator armour. This makes them slow and purposeful, which is only a disadvantage for Terminators, but you'll save some points, which is important because the Thousand Sons is a very expensive list (in points). An advantage is that you'll have Terminators with 2 wounds, and while they're closing in they have some serious firepower with twin bolters and reaper cannons. Unless you want Terminators with Psychic powers (this is very expensive, because you'll also have to buy the powers themselves), I'd just upgrade the troops squads.

As you want a Daemon heavy army, I'd get 3 squads of Thousand Sons as troops, and 3 Daemon packs. Flamers with their Doombolt are of course much better than Horrors, but they're also more expensive, plus Horrors look pretty cool IMO.

A pack of Screamers would be a good addition as it's one of the (very) few units with good speed, and they can cause plenty of damage when charging.

Then heavy support. As I said, I'd go for a Defiler and Dreadnoughts. The Dreadnoughts would preferably be armed with twinlinked lascannons (and maybe missile launchers) so you have some more anti-tank capability. You have to decide for yourself if you want to use a predator or land raider, I wouldn't use em because they don't seem appropriate in a TS army.
I hope this helps you a little!

For heavy support I think I'll go for a dreadnought with plenty upgrades, but the Defiler is also an interesting choice. I don't think I want Predators and Landraiders, as I'm trying to make a army who's different from a Space Marine army, so I want as little SM equipment / troops as possible.
I'm getting my CSM codex any day now, so the the real planning can begin, hehe.

I have always had a good eye to Chaos. I used to play Chaos in Epic 40k, back in the days when it was called Space Marine. In Epic Chaos was way cool, with lots of Daemon Engines, mutated titans and the Primarchs.

When I started collecting 40k a friend of mine (HAT) all ready collected Chaos, so I decided for SM and Dark Angels. But I always wanted to get a Chaos army for 40k, with lots of daemons as an tribute to the "old Epic days"
