Am I right in reading that traitor units can only mount 10 in a chimara when everyone else can mount 12 for the same points? Is this a mis print and can I go ahead with 12?
A prisoner of war is a man that tries to kill you and fails, and then asks that you not to kill him.
You have to go by what the Army List says, and what the Chimera rules state. Army List says that only units of 10 or smaller can purchase a Chimera, but Chimera rules state it can transport up to 12 models. Since they don't conflict, they're both in effect.
This means you can't purchase the Chimera with 12 models in your Traitor squad, even though it can hold that many. However, you can still have a unit of 10 and attach two ICs, and still be able to transport.
Sucky? Quite. Interesting find, though.
Attaching multiple asp champs to a squad is an unknown. Very likely not allowerd.
You can, however, attach a champ and an IC to the squad it seems.
Of course. .this begs the question why you're using traitors in the first place.. you should be spending points on mutants! :shifty:
Can you not buy the Chimera for a 10 man squad and just have someone else (12 man squad) ride in it? 'Twould be a poor compromise, but if you really want to get 12 in there would it work?

Send me a hello if you remember me.
Bear in mind that loyal Imperial Guard also have 10-man squads that get 12-man transports, and they don't even get to have a different number in the squad...
If LatD gets into the next Codex, I can think of two minor changes that would make Traitors far less sucky on face value, without even going into detail:
1) Ld 8 Agitator. It takes a brave man to lead deserters to damnation.
2) I appreciate that Traitors ought to be able to Infiltrate but it's just wasted points in a lot of situations. Thus, change Traitors to costing 6 points each and mod their Infiltrate rule to say the following:This would mean you don't have to worry so much about wasting points on a skill you can't use for whatever reason...A Traitor squad that does not have a transport vehicle and is not led by an Aspiring Champion must purchase the Infiltrate skill at +2 points per model.
