Ok maybe its a good thing they are getting rid of it... ok... BUT they still need 'fleet' or something to move fast enough across the field. Losing that extra D6 is gonna hurt the berserkers bad and dont moan on about frickin rhinos cos its just not the same as a horde of madmen charging across the field is it?
All good assault troops have a way to get them upfield fast (wyches, geanstealers, assault marines) to reduce looses from shooting and stuff but without that extra movement berserkers will be boned and be forced to 'resort' to rhinos to get them there. :x
Makes me sad that i just got into chaos this week to learn that the whole codex is getting overhauled  D'oh

What about Furies? These are probably my favorite unit right now. Very cheap, they start in reserves so ranged armies don't bash them first turn, and they're probably better than CSMs in close combat.
Sure, our book is being overhauled and it's probably going to change our strategies a bit, but the new book isn't even out yet, I really don't think you should be freaking out yet. And if mobile infantry is your think, I think the new codex is only going to make that easier assuming I'm right about the 0-1 Raptors. And really, you're in a much better position than the rest of us if you just started this week, you haven't purchased entire armies or solidified your favorite strat. I started with World Eaters as it sounds like you did, but now I'm lucky if I play a single Khornate squad in an army. Think about all those poor Cultist players, they're the ones who should be angry.
I think you're probably right, losing the Fleeting Berzerkers will be something of a speed bump in some of our strategies, but don't despair just yet. The new book will doubtlessly have some good news for everyone

Back from the dead to haunt new houses.
Send me a hello if you remember me.
No more frenzy move? So what ... It was a fun liability at best. The move can speed up your units but it can also get them killed because the movement "MUST" be Directed against the closet enemy unit. In fact the closest enemy unit situation can Get you zerkers killed anytime you face a half - way competent opponet. ( don't even get me started on what happens Vs. nids). As long as the price comes down a bit I really don't mind."Warning rant content"
The frenzy move equals a army that plays itself and for the life of me Why does khorne the "all mighty god of war" insist on just leaving the big guns behind and fight one on one like a mindless savage. I do understand the need to slaughter while knee deep in combat but for the love of khorne enough with the freeky Charge into the meatgrinder stuff. This one time at battle camp My elite possesed decieded to ditch thier LR transport and take on a brood lord and retinue in cover. Long story short... My first turn They charge and my opponet roles a damn yatzzee... I lose 1/4 my army at the starting gun and two turn latter the game. And why because The codex makes champions of khorne into mindless Kombat monkies...Not into the fearsome deathdealers they aspire to be.Rant over
Secondly I don't think Gw ever classified the Blood frenzy as a " fleet " move ( which it should be ) and in my local store it has caused all manner of problems with misinterpitation.
Thought for the day: A Burning Heretic , Will brighten the Decor of any room.
Frankly, Blood Frenzy never really defined World Eaters. It was a gimmick at best, and one that had the potential to hamstring you at the worst possible moments. Even with the ToBB, you had only a 55% chance of the Blood Frenzy move even working, and then you had to worry about your opponent baiting your units around the board with skimmers or unkillable monsters.
I'm not sad to see that go.
So yes, you'll be relying upon Rhinos to get you where you want to go, or you'll be foot slogging. It's really not so bad - my Alphas do it quite a lot of the time, even when I infiltrate into my own deployment zone.
all tho i know that rage was easily used against me by opponents *monolith* i will be sad to see it go completely, it was fun, to make you laugh, not not win the game. the speed was nice, and i hope they give zerkies something to get them moving fast *fleet*
and as for the comment of them having t4 and power armor, that doesn't go very far these days anymore, i can tell you how many times my whole army has been shot to sh** rhinos or not. *tau IG*. also, other troops such as assault marines have the same T and Sv, but they have jump packs.... jump packs and feet are VERY different, and comparing those two factors isn't very fair.
i do understand why you wont be sad to see rage go, i have wished i didnt have it at moments myself, but then i realize how fluffy that is for my army and figure, they wish it this way because Khorne wishes it this way, so im happy with it.
also, unless the World Eaters can use raptors in the new book (i highly doubt, seems like it could be easily overpowered) stating that we have raptors seems kinda stupid (no offense, but why say it if we cant use it, like saying your ig, those genestealers will help your army a TON)
im done for now. lol
Completly agree with you, zorkdahaforc... whoever says t4 and power armour can get your army across the field like any other assault unit obviously need a good kicking to the genitalia. If that where actually the case then every marine army could just arm themselves with ccw+bp and charge at the enemy... ive tried it with my space wolves... it didnt work... you need rhinos or bikes or something to improve you movement or your cannon fodder. WE. NEED. FLEET.
And raptors? frickin raptors??? errrrmmmm no thanks... i play WE thank you.
Seems like they're ripping the life out of a decent army list here... we want improvements, not a full blown re-do (

Cheap Fleet for power armour units is just stupid. It was slightly less stupid with the ToBB, because they wrote it off as additional movement. But it was still fleet, just by another name.
Beyond characters, name me one other unit that has both a 3+ armour save and a Fleet move. You'll be hard pressed to find one.
Losing the Blood Frenzy move was an improvement. World Eaters are not being dumbed down - they're being reimagined. Face reality - you won't get Fleet of Foot for your Berzerkers. Complaining about it won't change anything. You'll either have to adapt like everyone else (a few options have already been presented), or find something else to play.
One last thought. People should start getting into the mind set that the original Nine Traitor Legions are no longer around. If a pure cult force is to be found, then it's an extremely rare instance.
The World Eaters are a scattered legion. The odds of getting together members of the original World Eaters legion are, at this point in the 40K universe timeline, astronomical. It would require the presence and Charisma of a Khornate Abaddon to pull it off.
It's all well and good to declare that you're playing a pure cult army, but don't expect the new 'Dex to hold your hand with it anymore. They've stated time and time again that the new 'Dex is less about the original Traitor Legions, and more about the relatively new renegades that are defecting to Chaos.

And I agree that WE should have jump packs. The fluff says so.
As far as spiky Marines, if it bothers you, make decent fluff. That will set you apart beyond any damn ruleset.
You know I believe orks are a bunch of crazy madmen but they don't fleet...
you want to do some maths? cos on average one of the new khorne marines would kick 2 slugga boyz to hell and back.
Why does everyone want fleet all of a sudden. ( Its as bad as the rending craze. People just have to accept elves and bugs are notorious for being FAST. Marines are not. It's as simple as that. Running is what we like to call a '6" move'.
Now how many static shooting armies are there in this game?
IG, 50% of marines.
Well thats not that many... in fact the vast majority of enemies will be moving toward you.
Most eldar, dark eldar, tyranids, most chaos, orks, sisters of battle, grey knights, necrons, tau etc.
Basically at 24" range on most weapons you will take 3 turns to get at them. You usually start 24-30" away from the enemy so its a turn 4 charge or so. Of course they can run away but then you get to hold any objectives. It only takes 1 turn of movement to take most objectives.
And then look at cleanse, cc happens really fast in that.
And if they try to run why not use bikes or raptors or rhinos to catch em while the berserkers catch up?
gone is the days of a prince, 300 berserkers and a predator. New Codicies are a Good Thing.
Funny how people just look at whats disappearing and ignore how their army is actually improving.
