ok guys im tired of the siren lord. way to many points for me for a power that i might not get and only can use basically 1 turn, then charge. so im going with regular lord with combat drugs, stature, speed, armour, venom, visage, and aura. oh yeah and standard for girl calling any more suggestions on how to improve on that or how he should be used. i run:
4 squads of 6 girls
6 terms 1 blast master 5 sb
6 ec/w 5 sonic blasters 1 blastmaster
4 bikes/ sonic blasters
2 dreads 1 plazma 1 las
now i only want to revise the lord but all suggestions are welcome. the rest of the list works pretty fine for me i havent lost with them. my old lord was simular except the 4 chances at siren and no combat drugs.
feel free chop me up.

General rule of thumb: The first two upgrades for a c.c. lord are daemonic resilience & daemonic strength. If you're using a darkblade, then you can forgo the daemonic strength; but this doesn't apply to your pup.
Drop armor, as it's extremely expensive and doesn't help against those high strength, low ap weapons, such as plasma guns, las cannons, melta guns, brith lances, you get the idea. Remember, you statured prince will become the target of every imaginable ranged tank busting hate, so daemonic armor does nothing to increase his staying power.
Drop venom for talons. This pup should be wounding on a 4+ anyways (if not better). To be honest, talons isn't even necessary, as you should have a 6+ or better strength.
Aura: With combat drugs aura isn't necessary. However, if you have the extra points, then it never hurts.

I don't see the point to taking talons, why bother giving an MC rending? actually one of the better loadouts you can do is take darkblade, stature, strength and then use combat drugs to get up to str8, that way you can insta kill enemy IC's.
If your gonna go with stature then its pretty much a requisite to give him speed especially if your not gonna use the siren to safeguard yourway across the battlefield.
BTW what problems are you having with the siren ability? up to six chances to get the roll you need isn't a sure thing but the majority of the time you get the power and what do you mean you don't get to use it each turn? all you have to do each turn is pass a lship test to keep it up as long as your not engaged.
The reason this is better than Venom is that the only time Venom makes a difference with S6+ is against Wraithlords, in which case you have other things to use and in which case Talons are probably better - one or two automatic wounds instead of 4+ to wound isn't enough of a difference to justify being worse against everything that isn't a wraithlord, which is quite a lot.
Good luck cheers

Send me a hello if you remember me.
can i again suggest the combination of doom siren and furious charge on the slaaneshi lord for the ultimate cover / initiative hunter
lord, stature, drugs, speed, resilience, spiky bits, furious charge, 2CCW, doom siren
you're S6 on the charge and can use the drugs if you need higher, your'e able to act before I6 models even if they are hiding in cover if you get the charge (which you should with speed).
The FC gives you Str for free on the charge if you aren't needing the I boost and most of you damage is done on the charge anyway.
aura would be useful also but is dependant on the points level of the game if it's likely to be cost effective beefing your lord up further

BTW, careful on the misquote thing; it's gotten some members in trouble in the past. Of course, I generally don't mind, so long as people don't in turn quote your quote of me, in attempt to say that I actually said it. Does that makes sense? I rambled a bit there.

Note, this only works when you have speed. I often use my Lord as a counter attack unit, so he's there to bolster which ever flank needs him. In this manner, it's often better holding him back and then dashing out to where he's needed. This is a very good point. I'd just like to reiterate to people to be very careful with this. It's not generally good manners to put words in people's mouths.BTW, careful on the misquote thing; it's gotten some members in trouble in the past. OF course, in this case it was a joke so no harm done eh? Just be careful elsewhere.
