I picked up a boxxed set of Noise Marines at conflict for my emperors children army im starting... and I ran into a little problem after I got my first few guys assembled.... Sonic Blasters. The boxed set comes with only 1 sonic blaster. I could bitz order 4 more but that would get pretty expensive, seeing as how there 4 dollars per, and that could quickly add up, since Ill probbly end up needing 10 more some time in the future. So I need ideas on how to convert the sonic blasters... so far my only idea is to use the Tau rifles, use a put of copper wire and green stuff to make the same sort of tubbing and connect it to the back pack/shoulder pad. I dunno how well that would work out though... my questian is what have other Emperor's Children players done or if anyone has any other ideas to my lil problem.
You can do this....
1. order the archive sonic blasters from GW @ 2 bucks a pop. Comes with a built in cool looking shoulderpad too.
2. convert using the smallest demon head things that come on chaos vehicle sprues glued onto the end of just about any kind of small plastic tube.
3. Come up with your own variant. I've seen "Noise marines" that were toting "Boom boxes" type portable stereos on their shoulders. The army was a real conversation piece. Several of the models had red leather jackets and sequened gloves.
I ordered 6 archive SB's and around 4 BM's from GW and tacked them onto some standard CSM's with Emperor's children shoulderpads on the other arm for my havoc squad. They look pretty sweet. I had to paint the BM's a different color so I could quickly ID them on the battlefield.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
