No, not today. THe new Chaos Codex will soon hit the stores (september) and then the option of taking a Basilisk will be history. So don't get a bassie today.
If you have one lying around and planning a game before the release, I'd like to recommend it. It's cheap and has a huge gun.

Luckily for you, I.W. has many options for long ranged support. Point for point, you'll get the most bang for your buck with havocs, though, as Andusciassus said, you should avoid making an additional purchases until the release of the new codex.

Predators & obliterators will likely become the two primary tank busting units, and they will both occupy heavy slots (new codex update). Both are solid choices. Dreads are moving to the elite slot, though, they aren't currently worth their points, given their offensive payload and slow movement.

Chaos Space Marines are just.....well chaos marines!

But havocs are chaos space marines armed with a huge array of heavy weapons with tank-busting capabilities to take down those nasty land raiders or leman russ' which other people use.

So havocs are Chaos Space marines Packing Heavy heat to bust tanks, so it would probly be a good idea to give them Tank Hunters abilty?

Yes, most people give havocs the tank hunters ability. But keep in mind that with the codex revision, vet skills will be dissapearing.

A popular havoc loadout is: 8-man 4 autocannons, tank hunters and infiltrate(no MocU)
This gives 4 marines to lose 8 high strength shots against vehicles. It works beautifully.

Even with the new codex, the autocannon havocs will still be of use, albeit, not nearly as effective against heavily armored tanks. We'll likely see a number of chaos players employing the use of missile launchers in their havoc squads as well. After all, this configuration is still very good and likely to remain an option with the new codex.

Statistically, chaos marines are exactly the same, whether taken as havocs or as a basic troop choice. The only difference is the havoc squads' ability to take more heavy and special weapons, of course, at an increased price.
