    i need a good strategy against tyranids as i have a friend who always owns me when i play him he uses alot of genestealers and has a carniflex that eat me


    plz help

    If you play with GK you are already at a disadvantage because you lack the firepower to bring down the numbers to a reasonable amount for you to handle in hth.

    Orestes, we do have the firepower if u consider the massed psycannon and stormbolter fire we can pump into them, i would think this would be enough so that we can take them easily in HtH, were we belong

    depends normally 1500-2000
    and psycannons help but i find that they get to me way before i can shoot enuff of them

    Storm Bolters, they are very mean to our little guys, and genestealers. Remember that a Stealer alone is worth 16 points, which is a lot. Your going to own us in CC. We might have the numbers, but you wound on a 2+. I would sugest that you get a GM into combat with a Tyrant, although risky, you can easly kill it. You need a 4+ to hit and a 4+ to wound, make a pyscic test and he is gone. Btw you will be attacking at the same time with about the same attacks so...

    I am guessing that your going to have the most problems with the Genestealers and the TMC&#39;s. Well, for the stealers, just shoot them with mass stormbolters and psycannons. One round of shooting should kill at least 12.

    The TMC&#39;s are going to kill a lot of your guys, I mean a lot. If a Tyrant charges a squad of 10 Grey Knights, they will be gone before you know it. Also charging a squad of 5(or being close enough that he can charge you), of terminators might be heroic, but foolish. They are easier to kill that regular Terms. They still attack last and die just as easy. The Tyrant will kill at least 2 a turn, leaving you about 1 thats in base to base contact with him. That guy needs a 4+ to hit and a 4+ to wound. The Carnifexs are to be feared also. They can be scary, but this is where you might want to send in your Terminators. The Terminators will attack first with about 9 attacks, 3+ to hit and a 4+ to wound. Very nasty, you can see a Carnifex fall down before he can even retaliate.

    Put some ISTs in chimaeras and load up on flamers to fire through the ports and heavy flamers for the other weapons. Dreadnoughts with missle launchers, massed stormbolter fire. Need i mention for a larger game, the landraider crusader, massed mobile bolters, with some toughenss to boot.
