I've only very recently started 40K and am building a WH army.
My question is with regards to Imperium armour used by WH...
Is it 'legal' to convert a vehicle such as a Landraider to a WH vehicle using the WH sprue as found in the Immolator kit?
Hope this makes sense.
ok if the land raider is in the WH codex then you can use it but if not....
and are you saying that you want to convert it into something like an immorlor or exosist? (totally 1337 bad spelling)cause you can but it would be bigger!
Create flames for a galaxy and it will be warm. Put a galaxy in flames and it will be warm for the rest of it's existence.
You can convert virtually anything into anything - most tourneys only require that you use ONLY green stuff/plasticard/other modeling stuff, and parts from Games Workshop miniatures. So long as you accurately represent what you are trying to convert, I see no reason why they wouldn't allow it. The only gripe people have is if you make a reasonably large vehicle smaller - this will make them seem to think you can hide it better, and so they usually won't allow you to do that. Making it approximately the same size or a bit larger, though, I don't see any reason why you couldn't do that.
Thanks for the quick replies. Re-checking the Codes I see the Land Raider as well as Chimera are listed under Transports. I missed them the first time round.
Basically what I was thinking was using the standard Land Raider (or maybe even a Chimera) kit and, using the WH sprue in the Immolator kit, giving it more of a WH feel. I.e. replace the cupolas with the WH one, install holy icons and laud hailers.
I see the Daemon hunters have a similar army specific conversion of this vehicle. So why not one for WH?
It appears to me, with my limited knowledge of the subject, that this might be 'legal' in terms of game play. Opinions?
