Given the BA new hiked up price Extra Armor, what is worth taking more on a dread, EXA, or Vernable? I'd like to know what yall think for Furioso's and normal dreds. Thanks.

well since Extra armour was only useful for the price and so you could move, it's now just a big no with the increased point cost
venerable is more useful now because it now be placed on multiple dreads
Create flames for a galaxy and it will be warm. Put a galaxy in flames and it will be warm for the rest of it's existence.
im not sure what the new cost for extra armour is in the BA update, but if you skip the extra points (assuming its at 10 or 15 points vs 5,) then itd really suck imo if you got stunned every turn and couldnt move into cover or what not.
I'm not sure the dreadnoughts are worth the points imo. you could spend almost 200 pts on a dread with lascannon, extra armor, venerable, missile launcher etc. The furioso, while a good idea, against most armies, will not get to fight (mv 6 is horrible against skimmers and jumpers like tau and eldar)
Personally, I don't think they belong in a BA army unless you're playing high point games and even then, a tact squad with lascannon would last longer.
I have to say that I question the logic behind making something that was not commonly used MORE expensive. Did GW think that by increasing its point cost people would think it's better and start to include it in thier BA lists?
Must be the old "OOOO, its more expensive, it has got to be better because the company wouldn't give us less capability for more cost, no, never"
When in doubt call in an ordnance strike.
Or maybe they just really, really, really, really, really, really don't want you to use them. Maybe they make a loss on Dreadnought models or something. I always thought they were too customisable. You don't even need to magnetise the arms with the plastic ones.
