I know that the little T by the wargear choice means that is the only items that terminators can take. But, can normal sergents take those options ex. Can a normal sergeant take a thunder hammer and storm shield without taking terminator armor?
Assuming you are talking about the standard Marine codex, the T means that if you are a terminator, these are the only options available to you.
If you are not wearing terminator armour, you are not bound by these restrictions, and hence can take items both marked and not.
So yes, a sergeant with terminator honours (but not terminator armour) can indeed take a thunderhammer and a storm shield!
(I did just the thing with my assault marine sergeant, back when my Dark Angels had to use the old codex. Its a shame thats now an illegal combination for me, the dude looked awesome if I do say so myself. And I do. So ner.)
"Pickles, the drummer, doodily doo. (Ding-dong, doodily, doodily, doo.)"
Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.
Suddenly I want an assault marine with a storm shield and an enormous thunder hammer. Cool...
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
