In the Space Marine Codex it makes it look like I can give a Commnad squad 2 heavy weapons or 2 special weapons (such as 2 melta guns) instead of 0-1 of each like in standard vet squads or taq squads. Am I reading that right?
A tactical squad may take one heavy and one special weapon (Heavy defined as hvy bolter, lascannon, missile launcher, etc, Special defined as plasma or meltagun, etc). Command squad may take two heavies or two specials or one of each.
Really the only reason to use Command squad is for attachment to an HQ or for the twin heavies or twin specials, taking one of each in a command squad is sort of, well, silly. Unless, like me you like running 50 to 60 marine armies at the 1500 level.
When in doubt call in an ordnance strike.
ok, thanks. I was just asking because I was looking up plasma/melta gun marine blisters to buy at the GW website and in the product description it said you could only have one in a command squad so I was just making sure nothing changed or was misprinted in the SM codex.
