Snipers can be tactically quite useful but are ratlings?
A bolt gun can wound them on a 2+ for gods sake!
But they can also get a 3+ cover if they behind a wall very useful
On top of this they are 6 for £6, very cheap
what do u think?
Archaon's Top Tip for profiting from the End Time: Pillage before you burn
When I say jump you don't ask me 'How high?' maggot! You jump!
sounds good. With ratlins you can have 2 squads with snipesr in them. There isn't any other way to get sniper rifles (that I know of) and this way you can split fire to pin up to 2 squads.
you can get snipers in a special wep squads or using the light infantry doctin ut ratlings are the cheapest
If there is decent cover on the map, I find ratlings to be quite useful. They can nestle in somewhere and pose a threat tough enemies while only costing 11 points a model
Ratlings are 0-1...
They are fragile but they have longer range than most basic weapons and should really be screened or in cover. (or both!)
They are also cheaper than special weapons squads. 6 ratlings cost 66 points, a six man special weapons squad costs 65 points and they only get three sniper rifles.
Also they do not get a +1 to cover if its a special weapons team.
