I really like my Puritan Grey Knights, but their biggest weakness is lack of Anti-Armor choices. The most popular choice is the Dread w/ Twin-Linked Lascannon & Missile Launcher, which works pretty well, but I like to run Land Raider Crusaders and so I was thinking about adding in a more versatile option for Armor. (Also keep in mind that I build all my lists as Tournament lists) Here's what I was thinking of:
Adding a Canoness w/ Jump Pack, Cloak, Combi-Melta, Power weapon into a squad of 8 Seraphim with 2 Inferno Pistols and also giving them a Veteran Superior with a Combi-Melta & Power Weapon.
BEFORE SHOOTING THIS IDEA DOWN: Take into consideration that I didn't take Eviscerators on purpose for the following reasons:
-Eviscerators hit skimmers on 6's, which is a HUGE deal when trying to destroy Eldar/Tau/Dark Eldar mechanized forces. Also they sack initiative, which can be a bad thing for Toughness 3 models. I realize that by doing this combo, however, that I will forfeit the chance to kill tanks in CC after shooting.
-By doing the Melta/Power weapon combo, I have a longer Armor Pen Range than the Inferno pistols and with the Jump Packs I have an effective 18" melta range (move up 12 inches and melta 6).
-It gives them versatility as a unit because even though they will excel in Tank hunting they are also decent in an assault.
Any feedback is appreciated as I formulate a good Seraphim/Canoness squad. Thanks.

I've heard of many players using Seraphim to greatly benefit their DH. I myself am a Pure GK player, and distain using armour or Termies at all... just cram in the PAGK :party2: This means, other than Nemesis Weapons and the Eversor, anti-tank is non-existant.
Hence, I wanted to add a Canoness with Inferno Pistol and Evis, Mantle, Litanies and Jump Pack. The main reason is so I can bop characters and big Gribblies on the head with the ol' "Inferno Pistol and Faith + Str 8 and 2++Inv" combo. Expensive, but worthy. Which leads me to Seraphim....
Because of my limited points, a nice unit of eight or so with Inferno Pistols and Vet Sister w/ Book would suit me, as we can hold in HTH then Hit and Run... the Canoness would be burning up all the Faith for her 'trick', and the Seraphim would be dedicated turn 3-4 tank hunters; their eventual deaths giving more faith to the Canoness.
Sounds all well and good, but will it work? I've put a lot of thought into it, but not yet tried
Good luck with the army
Seraphim are a great addition to PAGKs, I almost always use them.
I don't eqiup mine with an Evicerator eather, but do have two Inferno Pistols, and built in Krak Grenades to bust tanks. (I wish we had 2pt Melta bombs like Space Marines!).
I wouldn't take the Cannonness for that reason for a couple of reasons.
1> Seraphim lose their Jump Out rule with a Cannonness attached.
2> A Cannonness with a Cloak and Blessed Weapon is lovely to use all on her own.

I could just keep her within 6 inches of the seraphim squad I guess so that they could break away from combat if they need to. The goal of them is tank-hunting though, and if I do assault with them then it is probably going to be a fight that they can win.
I know that the Canoness works very well with the Blessed Weapon, Mantle, Jump Pack combo etc., but since I have GK as my base then I have the Grand Master to do all the butt kicking for me (and he's probably better at it too).
What I really need is Tank hunting for my lists. Sadly, The Seraphim and Canoness together cost more than my Grand master & retinue (though not by much). And far more than a Land Raider also. However, they seem to be the best answer at delivering Melta shots, which will slice through those pesky Eldar and Tau vehicles.
Maybe Seraphim and a Canoness just isn't the right answer for my list though... (which is a shame because I have such a cool Fluff Idea for my Army).
P.S.- Could the Canoness/VSS fire her melta gun into a unit and pull out her power sword to assault on the same turn?

I have seen seraphim used very well with GKs. They add an element of speed that the GK really need, and still be "inquisition" based.
As long as you remember a few things about using them.
While they are sisters, they will NOT have the same robust capabilities that a full sisters army gives them through massed faith points. These will be very precious, and anyone who plays against sisters can tell you, once you run them out of FPs you murderize them but good.
They are a bit more fragile than other power armor toting goons, so use them like a scalpel.
they ARE however one of those units, that if you position right, and charge them in, blowing all their FPs for an important, decisive victory, it can make all the difference in a game.
