I have a question... can i put the doctrines drop troops and grenadiers in the same army?
I cant find anything that says i cant but i want to be sure.
If i can would i be able to deep stirke the grenadier storm troopers with the drop troops doctrine?
Yes you can, however keep in mind that doesn't mean the Grenediers can Deepstrike as they aren't Guard Infantry as specified on the page after Schaeffer's Last Chancers.
... only triumph could turn pooing his pants into a good thing..
Grenadiers and Drop Troops can be used simultaneously.
Grenadiers may not, under any circumstances I'm aware of, deep-strike or infiltrate (as the Grenadiers doctrine clearly states). Since grenadiers are, for all intents and purposes, storm troopers, they do not count as "Guard Infantry" and thus cannot have the Drop Troops doctrine applied to them.
So you could run a list with Grenadiers and Drop Troops (I do... makes things fun), but those grenadiers are foot-slogging it into combat (or riding in a Chimera, which I recommend).
Hope that helps!
k thanks guys just wanted to make sure.l
One thing you could try is to give guys carapace armor and then deepstrike them, make for some cool looking models and still give you the feel of stormtroopers
Yea but you are still at the standard guardsmen BS, so I would rather pay the extra few points and get the better BS. But thats just me.
Battlesuits, putting the BS in BullS*%t.
