It is night time. There is an eirie glow in the sky made from burning fortress' in the distance. Two sisters of battle, dressed casually, are strolling through a military camp far from the front line. They pass a tall man in a trench coat and wearing a puritan hat like in colonial America. The sisters, who were previously gossiping become silent as they pass the Inquisiter. The two parties curtly nod to each other, and part. When the two sisters are far enough away from the inquisiter...
SISTER ATHMEM: Oh my gosh was he checking us out?
SISTER CATHERINE: eewww.. he must be like a couple centuries old.
SISTER ATHMEM: seriously, the pervert must have al sorts of dirty stuff in his mind. Well they are right when they say "No one is innocent", because you know his mind didn't have innocent thoughts in it. Its disgusting to think about. I bet in bed, because he is so rinkly and dry, he sounds like a bag of old dead leives being tossed around!
SISTER CATHERINE: eeewwww!!!! you think of the nastiest things, I swear your going to be a repentia someday! (both sisters giggle)
SISTER ATHMEM: yeah yeah, whatever. I say we ditch those old fogies in the next codex release.
SISTER CATHERINE: like we are ever going to get a new codex. By the emperor! And when was the last time you saw a fassion trend in our ranks? I can't remember when all of us started bleaching our hair white. You would think SOME ONE would have gotten tired of it by now! Maybe thats why sisters become repentia, just so they can shave their hair!
Yeah, I know this is more of an off topic thing, but there really hasn't been very much activity in the sisters forum, and I thought it needed a boost. What I want to talk about is the new codex, and whether or not there will ever be another. I know I don't like us being part of the witch hunters, but do you think there will ever be another sisters of battle codex? We might never have our rules, or our miniature line updated again. Does any one think that sisters have a shot at being popular enough, with the release of the new witch hunters codex, to sway Games Workshop's opinion of the sisters? I hope GW doesn't continue to hate our army a year from now.

Shoulda added 'like' a couple more times to increase the valleygirl tone. Like whatever....
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
IMO sister have more than enough ability to become one of the more popular armies if GW just gave them a chance and supported them some more. I think a few plastic mini's would influence this aswell. It sort of sucks that the sisters have to buy totally metal figures. I know they are in metal to keep the detail but it still makes the normal troops more expensive which in turn will drive away the more undecided and less rich players. Why buy 12 metal sisters for 30 euro when you can get 16 plastic guardsmen for 25. (Ok might not be exact number of minis in a box or the right price but you get what i am trying to say)

ROFL!!!! Good one
I think that the Witch hunter Codex will actually make SoB a much more popular army. I think that we will start seeing more support from GW after the new codex, to match an increased interest in the army.
I doubt it. It all boils down to the basic troops, and whether or not they're plastic. Who really is going to spend the same amount of cash on ten bog-standard troopers as a battle tank for the Guard/SM/Tau/Eldar?
"It fits like clothes made out of wasps!"
plastic troops didn't stop the dark eldar from becmoing un-popular... (although there are more post and threads in the Dark Eldar forum)
I'm not convinced the original SoB figures are that much more expensive than some of the newer Plastics. I'm talking here about the basic troop figures either as a blister (£5 for 3) or the standard squad pack (six figs including a Superior and a Special Weapons Sister) for £12. (I think I am accurate with those figures). These were commissioned and created eight years ago, so have had their original design costs long since paid off.
So a basic (blistered) Sister mini is about £1.75.
A Plastic Space Marine is £15 / 10, or £1.50 each (I appreciate here that there is also a Sargeant, Special Weapons and Heavy Weapons Trooper in that pack).
A Chaos Space Marine is £15 / 8 or £1.88 each.
Just a thought. It remains to be seen how much the new releases are, though.
Ryan Dancey, Vice President of Wizards of the Coast, believed that TSR failed because of "...a near total inability to listen to its customers, hear what they were saying, and make changes to make those customers happy." Are you listening, Games Workshop ?
You can always go to the Games Workshop page and look at their witch hunters section in the online mailing cataloug. I'm pretty sure they are already in there I think. It's $30 for a squad of 10 I believe. So 3 dollars per mini, plastic? I don't know if it will be plastic though. But Aun is right about the blisters. 3 in a package for 9 bucks for me, or 2 for 7 so it's comparable.
Btw, I didn't get a chance to say anything sooner, but nice little conversation there Shiver!
That'd be me if I was in the Inquisition though Good thing I don't work for the emperor .
"Can you put that in a memo and title it '***** I already know!'"
Church: "Ok, so we're agreed? You first!"
Sarge: "Get on with it, Griff."
Griff: "I'd just like everyone to know: that I suck."
Griff: "And that I'm a girl..."
Church: "What else?"
Griff: "And I like ribbons in my hair, and I want to kiss all the boys."
Sarge: "This has to be the best surrender of all time."
