I was recently interested in starting an army of deathwatch marines. However I can't find any sample army lists online, I haven't checked too hard here, yet. All that I've found is the kill team rules. I want to know if there's rules for a deathwatch army.
I don't have a access to the chapter approved codex so I can't find out there...
So is deathwatch only for kill teams or can it be a regular army. And would those rules be in the chapter approved codex?

Therefore, the only real way I can see you doing this to anywhere near your satisfaction is with something else attached. If you have the points, I don't think there's a rule that says you couldn't, say, use the "kill team" units for all three of your elites choices and as one HQ (since you can use a libby) in a SM list. You could then fill the obligatory other HQ and two troops slots with "scaled down" units. You could use a couple of sniper scout units, a la Lysanderwing, and a stripped commander model with a small command unit. Even though, according to the rules, this would be a SM army with DW units attached, the DW units would clearly outnumber (and outshine) the rest, there's no reason why you couldn't write fluff saying it's a DEATHWATCH army with SM units attached. Get creative -- you might come up with something that looks/plays better than the army list you were hoping to find online.
you CAN field a deathwatch Space Marine army. It's outlined in the Deathwatch Kill team rules from GW. Of course, it means you're really fielding a SM army, and upgrading everything in a HQ, Elite, or Tac Squad to be Deathwatch for 5pts each. This gives them special ammo, but is pretty much a SM army using Deathwatch Vets.
you could also wait until next year, when the Inquisition codex is rumored to be coming out.
I think a largely Deathwatch upgraded army would be interesting, and esp. using DW Kill teams for HQ.
stock up on those shoulderpads!

iv heard rumors that codes xenohunters may never come to be, the whole theory of the deathwatch is that the opperate in small teams, anything that would require an army to be used and they would simply requisition guard of marine allies, however you can get by this by upgradeing everything in your army, useing traits and painting tings like terminators a deathwatch colour to create sort of a death watch strike force, but id go no further than 1000-1500 points or youd be going against the background.
PROUD TO BE IN THE BRITISH ARMY.
