May seem like a stupid question, but I can't seem to find the stormtrooper models pictured in the daemonhunter codex. I checked the games workshop online store but they have different models representing stormtroopers. Can some point me in the direction of the models I am talking about? Thank you very much.
I think most people use the Kasrkin models for IST.I use IG Karskin models
I had to buy a couple of special weapons teams for the plasma guns/melta guns etc,

Sorry, snowball, that's no slam on you. I'm just sick to death of the $^&@# Kasrkin models, which I never liked in the first place.
Myself, it's gonna take some work, but I'm in the process of cutting up and combining a plastic Cadian and a plastic SM shotgun scout into something that I hope will look much better. Personally, I think anything made out of plastic beats metal hands down. I'll post a WIP soon in the conversion forums.

Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

Well, I personally think the Kasrkin models are awesome, so that's what I used. I do think it'd be cool to use the Forge World Death Corps models for stormtroopers, though. And, while they don't technically have visible carapace armor, they've got trenchcoats on, so you could always just say they've got the carapace on underneath those . You can also buy grenadier troops who have carapace armor.
For those interested, you can see some pictures of them here.
And the grenadiers here.

Personally I, if I used ISTs, I would go with a some Kasrkin and some of the old school ISTs.
Anyone know where I can find the Storm Trooper models pictured in the IG codex? Not the Kasrkin, but the guys in the padded like armor with rebreathers and what looks like auspex's on? And their hellguns are more refined looking? I don't remember what page of the IG 'Dex they're on, but I know their picture is above one with the Kasrkin.
Anyhoo, I would love to use the old school models...they just scream IST to me. That and they remind me of the medical containment team fom the end of Alien 3.
If you win games against Nids with flamers (aside from the Inferno Cannon on a Hellhound), you're playing against opponents with stupidity of impressive magnitude.
I love the Death Korps of Krieg models! I would probably use them too if it wasn't for the fact that they are crazy expensive. If I can't find the models I was talking about though I might use these guys:
I really like their hats for some reason.
