I was wondering if anyone has ever done an armored company combat patrol?
Armored Company isnt legal for Combat Patrol since the AV on a russ is too high.
Unless your talking about doing two armored fist squads, and then that could be brutal haha
Only an idiot fights a war on two fronts. Only the heir to the throne of the kingdom of idiots would fight a war on twelve fronts.
2 AF squads and a sentinel, everybody thats ever played against it has told me that its a really nasty list:C, i posted it in the army lists forum a while back
what kinda sentinal might I ask? and whats the load out on the squads?
Also to the guy above. Combat patrols require only 1 Troops choice minimum and negate the need for a inf platton to take an AF squad
that actuallt sounds like a really nasty list. i nust use it sometime
we're not running, we're attacking in another direction!
-Call Of Duty 2
i used the standard load on both chimeras (M.Laser + H.Bolter)
the sentinel had an autocannon
the squads had plasma and autocannons.
the idea is that the autocannons can take out any armour that you encounter at this point level and are much better at hitting as they have 2 shots, compared to a 1 shot missile launcher (considering that guardsmen are BS3) and are pretty good at anti infantry with multiple shots, though not as good as H.Bolters of course, as for the plasma.... who can say no to plasma???
I used a combo of an armoured fist asquad and a vet squad. (both were in chimeras). I was able to get a good run with the vets as they had special weapons. It can be difficult as you will have the same amount of units as the enemy so yo have to play a litle differently to the traditional combat patrol list.
