I'm not sure if it would make GK's a little bit unbalanced or not, but I for one would like to see some GK's on bikes... even if it's just from a model point of view. I think they'd look cool. >.>
Anyway, would anyone else like to see them?
if we got GKs on bikes I might actually believe GW knows what it's doing.
And I don't think it would be too overpowered, firstly they only have TL bolters and they would/should take up a FA slot meaning you sacrifice a FAGK squad for bike.
They'd be good in CC but cost like 50-60 points each.
yeah, that would be good, but one thing i would really want to see, is that on the charge, their nemesis force weapons become power weapons, like the hunting lances of the rough riders. i mean, they would be feared even more then normal, cause if they werent, then they would send out some rough and tough guys to let them slam into and then not die, like plauge marines or terminators. if you made them power weapons, then people would be like, ok, lets shoot them instead. see what i mean
This issue has been talked about a lot, I recommend you do a search.
The idea to me, as a lot already know, seems completely ludicrous. Not only is it completely opposite to the fluff of GK's but it seems like a bunch of people trying to fix the weakness of the army. All armies need a weakness, otherwise they are over powered and lack any need for skill.
GK's deepstrike or arrive in thunderhawks, not on bikes.
I don't like the bikes-idea either. This only gives us a Space Marines touch, in the end we look exactly like SM
But I could live with a deep-striking Dreadnought0:
GK's deepstrike or arrive in thunderhawks, not on bikes.I actually wouldn't call that hypocritical. The thematic feel for the Grey Knights focuses on a force that teleports straight through the enemies defences and into the heart of an enemy force. A deepstriking Dread would be seriously overpowered (no one would bother taking lascannons and missile launchers anymore) but would fit thematically with the feel of a Grey Knights army. Can you say hypocrite? ;D
Knights need steeds, its as simple as that. Besides who says you can't stick bikes on a Thunderhawk?
I'm also opposed to Grey Knight bikes. They teleport in, it's what makes them unique. Otherwise we are just normal marines with NFW, and where's the fun in that?

If you want knights with steeds you should look at Warhammer FB Brettonians.
I some what don't mind the d/striking dread idea as long as it came with two close combat weapons (claw and halbred) giving it an extra attack (so it will actually do something in hand to hand) and with a psycannon and s/bolter or incinerator mounted on the arms. As for overpowered, well you haven't obviously seen the Venerable, Death Company Furioso Dread in Drop Pod .
Doh, Drop pods completely slipped my mind!Venerable, Death Company Furioso Dread in Drop Pod
And if vanilla marines get a deepstriking dread, so should we! Power to the people!
What about GKs mounted on some sort of horse like walker machine. THAT would be a cool model, and would go great with the "knight"ish theme.
