Welcome to Librarium Online!
i have an idea to implement a 10girl squad dominion squad with 5strm boltersin a rhino and iwasw ondering what you guys think it cost about the same points as a sisters squad with a flamer/hvy flAMER combo with vet.superior...just think of it minmum 10bolter shots at 24 inches even after moving

I have read battle reports with such units and they can do well. Their biggest strength is that they can kick out a fair amount of firepower to a decent range while still moving. This allows them to get LOSes on enemies that are trying to hide, and scarper if enemies are targeting them or getting too close. A nasty tactic is simply moving away from enemies who want to assault them. The range of stormbolters combined with movement means that they can fire at enemies while leading them a merry chase across the board. Two such units gives a good synergy, and is in keeping with the concentrated fire tactics that sisters tend to benefit from.
I wouldn't use the rhino as a transport initially as a thought, depends on the situation really. I would go for the foot slogging approach, bringing those storm bolters to full effect. In addition to this consider upgrading the Rhino with an additional storm bolter and possibly a hunter killer missle to support the on foot squad with even more firepower. Remember that the Superior can also have a storm bolter, so the total count could bring it up to 7 stormbolters firing on the move, quite a chunk of anti-infantry firepower, more should the sqad stand still. Because of the range it's also quite the threat against light vehicles (Warwalkers, sentinels, raiders, vypers etc) with massed chances of rolling 6's for armour penetration. The rhino is quite cheap so you can use it as a portable wall to shield the squad should you wish. Lastly there is also the holy icon upgrade (or something along the lines of that), it can support the squad morale or something along the lines (speakers....I never use it so I can't remember but play around with possible rhino upgrades).
well the only reason i need a rhino is because the dominions need a transport i plan on having it drive off and maybe pickup another squad
i used the strategy the other night and it made two IG squads fall back from causalities but they were squished by a vehicle trap tank shock

The mandatory transport kinda ruins the gains you get from that Configuration.
It makes sense if you're into redundant Immolators.
(But if an Immo is taken as transport, the squad must be limited to six).
I've been taking Stormbolters on Cannonesses more as of late. She can join a standard squad that already has two or three SBs, and it's a few more shots going down-rage. If you roll a high number of hits, the said squad can consider Divine Guidance.
Sisters Repentia: Wow what beautiful models! Wow what terrible rules! -stjohn70
As Red pointed out, a dedicated transport is dedicate to the squad it is purchased for, and can't pick up other units.
keeping that in mind, kitting out your rhino or Immolator for specific purposes might be a good idea.
Blessed Ammo is something I like to toy with once in a while. a HB Immo, or even 2 stormbolters on a rhino. Most people don't pay a lot of attention to a HB Immo or a twin Stormbolter rhino. Blessed ammo lets you mow down light infantry though. esp. when they're dug into buildings.
a regular flamer Immo is pretty useful also. also, because it can ignore cover saves.
I sort of like the stormbolter squad idea. I think you've got tot have a lot of them in a squad to make them pay off for you though.
I think that SBolters would really work in a COD game. Squad of 6 Dominions, maxed out with special weapons and riding 12" in an Immolator towards city center and walking from there on (while Immy goes of flaming other targets) could be very effective...
Taking Rhino though gives you the option of 4 more Sisters... Not sure if 4 more sisters would be better than "move 12", flame, reroll-to-wound, ignore-cover" Immolator and 6 Sisters?
I was thinking ten because of divine guidance and at 24" would be pretty cool

Am I the only one who thinks Storm bolters are...a waste of a special weapon opportunity? Woot divine guidance...I'm not huge on mathhammer, but just to help support my own point...you get 10 shots...6.6 hit so you get 1.1 AP1. SWEET. And if you get 20 shots in, then that means you're in bolter range, and you don't need the storm bolters anyway! Quantity of shot is awesome, but if they're in a transpo, that means you're waiving the ability to use most of your guns, and thus is negating quantity of shot, or that means that your sister superior has finally said "YES, WE'RE THERE NOW," and you're in double tapping range anyway, and thus you may as well have packed regular sisters...you know?
De gustibus non est disputandum.

Points – it all comes down to points and the rest of your army I think. I really sweat when my squads go past 200pts mark – unless it is my 500pts Inquisitor Lord.
Sure – Meltas are the “Divine-Guidance-always-on” guns, but you pay for that feature… I mentioned that I like that squad in the CoD environment. I actually prefer them over Retributors as a mobile fire support squad: Lines of fire are not that great, so 24” is not that much worse than 36”, especially that you can move 6” and still fire 10 shots down the field…
I usually try to take the Immolator and move 12 inches after which Sisters jump out and go their own way. As scoring units are the key in CoD games I prefer to keep them cheap… and safe behind other squads (sucker that the transport is not scoring, but at least you get the cool flamer tank). Please pay attention to the fact that special weapons are priced differently for Dominion and regular Sisters, and Dominions pay 50% premium for them.
5 Dominions, 1 VSS plus Immolator (73 Pts - EA and Smoke) - 195 Pts and 5 Storm Bolters, 1 Bolter
9 Dominions, 1 VSS plus Rhino (58 Pts - EA and Smoke) - 224 Pts and 5 Storm Bolter, 5 Bolters
5 Dominions, 1 VSS plus Immolator (73 Pts - EA and Smoke) - 228 Pts and 4 Meltaguns, 1 Combi-Melta, 1 Bolter
9 Dominions, 1 VSS plus Rhino (58 Pts – EA and Smoke) - 257 Pts and 4 Meltaguns, 1 Combi-Melta, 5 Bolters
Squads above are I think 4 combos that can be debated in our case. The cheapest squad is 195pts, the most expensive is 257pts - 62pts difference. Technically, 5 Meltas will surely kill a tank if their Rhino lives to get you there, but so will two Exorcists that you can almost buy for those points (and they will survive longer I think)!
On the other hand, the cheaper squad will give you a flamer to fry those 2+ cover save Eldar Pathfinders (yeah, maybe this setup was my answer to those pesky snipers) with no save possible, and a minimal infantry support squad to hunker down and protect Seraphims before the rest of the army catches up. They will not punch through armor like Meltas will, but hopefully you have another plan for taking care of Termies and Dreads somewhere…
