just wondered what people thought was the best close combat chapter?

Space Wolves, Blood Claws will rip anything that they get near to apart. And I mean anything, I've seen my friend's take down titains.
Crimson Fists 0/0/0
Dwarfs 0/0/0 (work in progress)
My vote goes for Space Wolves..Awesome at close combat. Then Blood Angels, the sheer number of Assaults squads they can field are unreal.
Yeah, I think Space Wolves as well. Though the Blood Angels are more mobile since they can field a lot more jump packs, Space Wolves have us beat as far as numbers of attacks per model vs. points cost.
Look at my name and guess who i voted for.
Templars hitting everyone on 3's, add chaplains and cenobyte servitors and they can race across the field supported by assault squads.
Edit: I forgot we get 20 man squads of doom.

BT's are okay - but the wolves do it with style, I mean what is more evocative than a bunch of space vikings howling across a table to dish it out up close and personal with axes in hand and then going back to the 'castle' for a good ol' feast and pissup?
Havent read the dex but they ALL have furious charge.
And death company are nigh unstoppable.
Desolation Fists - 600pts
Wolves have it for me, pretty much the entire army is a combat machine (bar tanks and Long Fangs), and Blood Claws have such ridiculous ammounts of attacks that they will tear anything apart. WS3 hurts though.
Blood Angels get a close second for me, the speed gives them an edge over BTs IMO, but the Death Company is the 'only' squad that can really mix it up in real style.
BTs get third, the prospect of a 'horde' of marines running towards you faster as you start shooting them is a scary one, to say the least.
minus_t's painting log! Now with: More Wolves and Blue Robots!

space wolves, the amount of powerfists and powerswords you can field is astounding
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
