Hail battle brothers,
old player just able to get back into the swing of things.
I have moved over seas, leaving my beloved guard army of 5+yrs behind in the states. Having that urge for battle (witch we all know will never leave). I have decided to go marines. Back to basics.
I completely fell for the changes that have happened to the codex. It took me some time, but I finally came up with a list I was happy with.
Perdtr-(maybe, maybe not)
2 asslt sqds no jump packs
3 tact,no heavy s double plasma(maybe rhinos, maybe not)
1 sct sqd
1 tem sqd
lrd w/term sqd
small, mean, fun killing machine-you guys get the basic idea.
Maybe I can get under 30 min move turns now. But what I was looking for inspiration wise was a theme. I'm using converted Grey knights as termies. and the GK in Pow Armor wep arm for the aslt troops. I a big fan of forge world, so I'm using the GK Dread as the Verbl's and the reg as non.
So now you got an idea of what my models are starting to looking like. Some might have a basic idea of the play style. Know any good primearchs?
I have a good modeling hand<i think, I guess we all do>, I think it'd be fun to give desert camo paint job's to the troops. And i think it would be cool to use 1/35 Hv's as rhinos(if used)
> Any one know of fluff where they recruit space marines from desert planets?
Kick around some ideas please.
I was leaning towards Iron hands (on account of all those dreads) until you decided to go with the desert colour scheme. Maybe use Ferrus as your primarch and hail them from an early founding to explain "heed the wisdom of the ancients" trait.
If you call it a Missile launcher, then it'll never hit anything.
100% of people who aren't Karmoon know Saraneth is invincible.
Saraneth speaks well... You will have to use the trait 'Heed the Wisdom of the ancients' so as to field all the Dreads. Now if you don't want to field them all then don't take it!
You can say it is a Chapter from Iron Hands geneseed and they follow the teachings of the original Chapter. As for the desert planet... the planet will has other planets around it and nearby from which they can recruit people for Space Marines... ;Y
Thanks to all the people showing faith in me
I sometimes feel that everyone will leave me and they will be on their own...
