Well I was in my local hobby store yesterday and picked up one of the Ogryn models thinking it would be a good excuse to myself to finally finish my Ogryn squad and get them on the table. After opening the box and putting the model together and next to one of my older Ogryns I saw why the damn thing as so much money. ITs gigantic and then some. I mean just look at the thing, Its almost twice as tall as any other human model in my army. Looks like hes the new Bone Head cause hes the biggest and the most bad ass. Now onward to painting them.
Any comments on the rather supersizing of the Ogryn models?
Looks like GW forgot the half-human part of the ogryn description. Sure, it looks pretty humanoid, but it looks alot more ogre-ish! Size aside, I think the new models certainly look alot better.
Man, he could wield your other Ogryn as weapons! Love the new models though, there's some good detail there, and he certainly looks Ogrish.
Putting them together like that, you can really see the crappyness of the older ogryns, I can't imagine GW has sold a single (older) ogryn model for the past 5 years
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

Woah, fair one, never realised the massive size difference untill now!!
I think the new ones look pretty cool, if it wernt against my fluff id put them in my next army (Obviously going to be IG)

I toyed around with the idea of fielding Ogryn. I bought three new ones and three old ones (marked down so I thought it would be nice to fill up on numbers). The difference was horrifying! It is almost as if they looked like they were part of two separate gaming systems. I could not bring myself to fielding them as onw squad. The difference was just too much. The new Ogryn are great. I especially liked painting them! They are some of my few models I have been happy with, but since I decided against fielding Ogryn, I sold them on ebay. *sigh* I love the idea of fielding them until you get inot squads of hidden powerfists. Then all those wounds go down the drain...
