grandmasters is porbably the best independant charater you can field and can become further stronger with his bretheren of terminators but how do you like him best? considering points and the like
i thought that holy relic would be very nice for those extra attacks on those melee beasts
also i thought a pyscanon would be nice making use of that bs5
i think holocaust would be the best pyschic power
and i thought unguents of warding strangely enough because im protective of some 500yrs old chaplain sending my 1000000 year old grandmaster through the warp giving him like aegis, unguents, invulnerable save
Personally, I think he's already kitted out like a maniac. I keep him stock, only adding Holocaust to his arsenal. I can certainly see giving him a psycannon, but unlike a BC, I want this guy in the middle of combat as much as possible, so I don't care to increase his already considerable cost for one or two rounds of shooting.
Upgrades that I can at least get on board with are an Icon of the Just and, if you're likely to face Chaos, Sacred Incense. Now, were I to kit him out as a fluffy one-man-daemon-destroyer, I'd do it like this:
Grey Knight Grand Master
-Nemesis Force Weapon
-Icon of the Just
-Grimoire of True Names
Unfortunately, this guy's got about 100 points worth of wasted wargear against most opponents *Shrugs*.
Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.
If you're intruiged by doctors who are also ninjas, then this is the webcomic for you!
I just kit mine with a psycannon and sacred incense, can't waste that bs 5 and his expensive enough as it is. His still pretty awesome on the battlefield though.
Hasten's right on this one. Simple fact is, a GM is already carrying just about the best equipment he can take.
You might consider the Psycannon, he's an ideal guy to carry it. Generally the Storm Bolter works just fine, though you might toss on Psycannon bolts if you're expecting lots of 4+ saves.
Leave his NFW alone - it just doesn't get any better than that, although Master Crafting can be handy. If you're planning to have him stuck in heavy combat, you might give him a second CCW to squeeze out as many attacks as possible.
Other than that, there's stuff like Bionics, Icons, relics and such - useful all the time, add as you see fit. And everything else, which is all specialized kit that's really there to provide a counter or an extra edge to a specific foe. This stuff is either priceless or worthless depending on your opponent, so you really need to pick and choose based on what you'll be needing.
EDIT: So far as I know, GKT's don't get True Grit - only PAGK/FAGK... Am I wrong??? In any case, two CCW's still gets you an extra attack on the charge.
I didn't think you could add a second CCW without the loss of the stormbolter?
I kit him out with Icon of the Just, Sacred Incense and as of late I give him unguents of warding. I have been playing against 1k sons alot as of late.
Why use science and education when ignorance and superstition will work just as well.
I always give my GM a Psycannon to utilize his BS, and m/c his NFW.
If facing Chaos he keeps the above, and I add Sacred Incense and Grimoire.
I have never used any Psychic Powers...some of them might be ok, I just can't bring myself to get any really.
I either use him plain or with a Psycannon.
Against some armies he ('Nidzilla) he gets an Icon, and against tank heavy IG, he might get Hammerhand.
90% if the time he a plain though.

Why add a second CCW? They all have True Grit so the Storm Bolter already counts as a second CCW for the +1 attack.
I think the the Grandmaster is scary enough. Apart from Psycannon Bolts and PERHAPS Holocaust (against Tyranids and Orks, I would say), I would leave him be.
Well. Leave him in the middle of battle till everything around him's dead.
My most effective Grandmaster ever had a psycannon and a master crafted forceweapon. He came into play through the sewers, and his entire retinue got shot to bits...then he went on to kill 600 points of Necrons. If I know I am facing something that is vehicle heavy I will give him either hammer hand, or my favorite, a chainfist...Gives him 5 attacks, and if you send a dreadnought to stop him it is almost laughable. (Plus there is a sweet GK model that has a two handed sword which fits nicely...almost looks like he has an evicerator.
