I was thinking about getting a blood angels army. I just wanted to know if they are as good as I have heard in close combat. I know that there are other armies out there that are better in HtH, but I like the Blood Angels history and that is why I was thinking of getting one.
Thanks in advance.
By their lonesome, Blood Angels aren't too hot in close combat, but it's the Death Company that really max out the power-gaming goodness. They can be any size, take an ADDITIONAL invulnerable save (As well as their power armor save.) can be loaded up with Plasma Pistols, Power Fists, and Power Weapons, get more attacks then a base marine, and get free Jump Packs. Sounds pretty good for no extra points eh? Add to the fact you can give Blood Angel Rhinos upgrades to make them move as fast vehicles, plus some dice roll more movement, and then still be able to unload. (Which is all about to change as the TVR become standerd.)

Wait, you mean that optimism isn't fashionable anymore?!

Soup's up, bitches!
Actually, Pandora speaks the truth about the DC. They are monters in HtH. Also don't forget about the BA Vet. squad. You can give them jump packs, Termi honors and some wargear. They'll light up a squad or two.

Thanks... except what does TVR mean? (I'm kinda new to the game)
Also, is it true that blood angels get assault troops as a troop choice? Or was I hearing things?
