i have 3 50men platoons one is a?
heavy infantry platoon(carapace armour)
and dont know what to do with the 3rd was thinking of taking light infantry
I love light infantry with infiltrating (I normally infiltrate most of my guard) and I recomend it as long as its into cover
a couple of things to note though (please correct me if I'm wrong):
I think this should be in the IG forum
double check the rules of the special equipment doctines, you may need to rethink some things (don't know how much I can say on the matter)
one thing I'd like to add is that you should look into the sharpshooters doctrine, it'll benefit any platoon heavy army and has helped me numerous times
2 things didnt mean to put poll in but to late to get rid of
and how is it in the wrong fourm
also thanks ill shall take light infantry AND SHARP SHOOTERS in to account
Okay, thanks for the info - I have closed the poll.
We have specific forums for each of the 40k armies, including suborums for army lists. I have moved this thread to the 40k Imperial Guard forum - you're much more likely to get feedback here. ;Y
1) you cant give one platoon Carapace and not the rest
2) You cant take carapace armour and light infantry in the same force so forget that option.
PROUD TO BE IN THE BRITISH ARMY.
~~ Surrender and serve me in life, or die and slave for me in death~~
you can use light infantry with carapace armour because it says they can not be combined which means you cant use both together in the same squad.
i may be wrong but were d it say that carapace armour has to be taken for all infantry units.
although a may be wrong
