How would you set up a kill team?

I checked the search thing and didn't find anything so...

If this is in the wrong spot, my appologies, I'll try to have it moved to its correct place.

    Anyways...

If you were given the bits to make a space marines kill team, any way you want, how would you equip them? (I'm just wondering, your opinions on this. No, this hasn't happened to me.)

Don't worry about modelling and painting, just what equipment would they have. I would probably deck them out for close combat. Power weapons and artificier armor galor.

Hey! Look at the little.... Oh ****!

To my thinking Heavy bolters are a must given their special rules for suspensors, and the Hellfire round is just lethal...

I'm assuming that you're talking about Kill Teams, and not Deathwatch KT as the above poster is referencing..

I'd probably also deck them out for combat, but maybe add some variety. A guy with a Power Fist here, a few CC-equipped Scouts there, a couple guys with power weapons over here, etc.

Kill Teams are a way to make a characterful and fun squad, which is something that you don't see hardly at all in the game itself anymore; I'd embrace that part of the game.

Oops, sorry, don't know why I thought you were asking about Deathwatch... Although they would make a great, and very fluffy, kill-team.

    I like

I like to start with the fluff, with the small size I think the fluff of a kill team can be the greatest influence on your decisions...

Well, for myself what better kill-team members that scouts? This would be an awesome time for these lil buggers to show what they're made of. Its what they do! Im not sure if the rules apply in Kill-Team, but they do have the Infiltrate and Move though Cover skills standard. Unfortunatly, if they're paired with normal marines though, they would lose these skills. Think about it, can you really be that steathy in 7-9 ft tall, bulky, servo-enhanced armor? *Tries to imagine a Marine tip-toeing up behind a sentry.* LOL. I don't think so.

Scouts can be kitted out to be shooty or assaulty, and they pack as much punch as a normal marine. They're a couple points cheaper than normal marines, so more room for extra gear. They also wouldn't break any mutable or immutable laws, so no extra stuff for the badguys! They're just good all-around!

    This was a triumph...
    I'm making a note here:
    HUGE SUCCESS
Its hard to overstate my satisfaction.

my favorite kill team is like 8 veterans with power weapons and lightning claws with furious charge then two marines with a flamers

i owned my friend who only had gaunts and a warrior (32 gaunts though) i blew up the objective with 4 veterans left

I like to stick around with Scouts and just a squad of marines. As for the the addons whatever you think is best or whatever you like.

Scouts are usually one of the better bets, though Space Marine Veterans can be a solid choice as well.

If I were playing Codex Space Marines I'd take a Scout Squad looking something like this:

    Scout Squad
    Veteran Sergeant
    - Bolt Pistol
    - Power Weapon
    X Scouts
    - X bolt pistols
    - X combat weapons
    - 1 heavy bolter

    or

    Veteran Squad
    Veteran Sergeant
    - Bolt pistol
    - Power weapon
    X Veterans
    - X Bolt pistols
    - X Combat weapons
    - 1 with power weapon

Both of these units would be able to cut through most Brute squads with relative ease. The Scouts would be more suited to dealing with lower armored foes with their heavy bolter while the Veterans could deal with MEQ foes with their multiple power weapons.
