I was just wondering about assassins. They can be in any Imperial army, right? One of the gamers at my local hobby store had the Codex for them(GW doesn't make them anymore). They look pretty sweet. I was just wondering how many people use them and which one? What do you think is good about them? What do you think is bad about them?

You must add an Inqusiter from Codex: Daemonhunters.

Doesnt have to be a DH Inquisitor, we have WitchHunter Inquisitors now and soon Ordo Xenos, dont get that wrong again.
I will probably get an Assasin soon enough, adding an Inquisitor to my force sounds fun. It really depends what kind of Army Im up against. Say if it was a WitchHunter Adverseries Army, I would use the Culexus, A.K.A the Psyker killer.
Calidus is best all round, it has many nifty rules, aswell as Weapons. . .
Have fun ^_^
I use a stand in for special assasin Campaigns. It represents a vindicare Assasin, the best kind!
Exitus Rifles Rule! (E.R.R)
Wins from my armies.
Cadian 22nd/124th (Infantry/armoured) 17/9/15
Cadian 128th (Artillery) DISBANDED!
Space Wolves (Marines) DISBANDED!
I ususally use the vindicare if I am facing an army with a uber character or small elite units. He is pretty good at taking down those.
<(^^)> <(^^<) (>^^)> ^(^^)^ Dance Kirby! Dance!
I just bought a Vindicare Assassin today, and I was really impressed by its special rules, especially its Turbo-Penetrator round, which can knock out an IG heavy weapons squad in one shot. It's also a really cool model, IMO.
Another good thing about the vindicare is that you have to check the distance you can see that turn a la nightfight if you want to shoot at it, as with all Daemonhunters. However, you divide the score you roll in half if firing at an Assassin, which makes it very tough to take down.
yeah the vidicare is the coolest but the eversor might work best with marines
Veni Vidi Variant
I came, I saw, I got a different type of Leman Russ.

Rules for grenades are on page 72 of the rulebook.
I converted a Vindicare assassin from my 'last chancer - Scope' mini which i had lying around for ever.
I adopted a cute lil' pikachu fetus

I being a Dh player gotta say one thing.............. CALLIDUS!
callidus assasins are your best freind and even though vindicares have there uses I gotta say the callidus is gotta be the one that works everywhere they got cool special rulez and plus their phase blade rules! no invulnerable or armor saves! just go to your GW store and read a DH codex just for a second and choose which one.
even though callidus are cool everser's are pretty good too they just eat people plain and simple combat drugs
vindicare assasins are ok but I've only ever used them to take out daemonic icons or teleport homers
and culexus assasins are the most underused and most specialised they are designed to kill psykers and thats pretty much it <_<
P.S. this is my fifty-ith post I'm so happy
When cities burn and armies turn
and flee in disarray,
Cowards will cry 'tis best to fly
and fight another day,
But warriors know it in their marrow when they
die and fall,
It is better to have fought and lost than not have
fought at all.
the keeper of the stuff!
the knower of werty!
the master of the obvious!
Vindicare all the way. Do you really have to get an Inquisitor? That sucks if you do.
