Trivia, I know (forget the important stuff like why can't Battle Sisters deep strike) But hey, has anyone a better idea for an SOB logo besides that %#@!! stupid fleur-de-lis? I mean, you see that everywhere, i.e. fence posts, girl scouts, your Aunt Tilly's handkerchief.
Come on people, think!
Aside from the fleur-de-lis not being uncool in the first place, I think it would be sort of stupid to do anything besides what's specifically their symbol in fluff... I mean, you could use the big Inquisition =I=, but that would just be wrong.
I use the Wild Rose icon as the primary marking on my vehicles and usually just tack on the fluer on a piece of trim somewhere.
heretic,non-beleiver you shall burn in eternal flame for your blasphemy
seriously dude the fleaur is a classic damn cool symbol which suits the sisters perfectly why would we want to change it
i mean really what would you prefer the fleaur, a mutated chicken passing itself off as an eagle or some poncy 8 pointed christmas decoration!
the fleaur rocks endo story :p
"take my love, take my land, take me to where i cannot stand, i don't care i'm still free you can't take the sky from meee" ;- firefly
"i'm gonna grant you your greatest wish i'm gonna show you a world without sin" ;- serentiy
"I am a leaf on the wind, watch how i soar" ;- serenity
I agree with plague the fluer-de-lis is perfect for sob it just suits them
Sartorius, the fleur a pretty good choice (coming from Joan of Arc).
It signifies both "Holy Crusade" and "female leadership".
You really can't top that combination for a more fitting historical reference.
But if you want to expand into additional icons, that's cool.
Sisters have a big letter "I" on the shoulder opposite the fleur.
So I'd expand upon the "I".
Check out some calligraphy for different, elegant, gaudy versions of the capital "I".
Sometimes old books take the first letter of a book and make it bright red.
Script always comes off well.
Sisters Repentia: Wow what beautiful models! Wow what terrible rules! -stjohn70
Actually, that "I" on the shoulder pad is because those Sisters are under the command of the Witch Hunters. Its related to the Inquisition
So you could do that, but that would sort of take us back to step one.
I'm alright with the fleur myself, but how about
Click! - 2nd to last one.
Or something involving fire or a flaming torch/brazier
There is no such thing as a plea for innocence in my court. A plea for innocence is guilty of wasting my time. Guilty.
- Inquisitor Lord Fyodor Karamazov
I chose the Order of the White Rose so I could use that emblem as well (also when playing War of the Roses historicals I always side with the Yorkists
"The sword that takes life gives life."
Right, you could use the roses and skulls, or whichever particular symbol denotes your particular sept of the Sisterhood.
I'm a pretty big fan of flaming, sacred hearts from Catholicism.
